I always felt when we signed him, which was an excellent deal by the way, that he was going to be a one season player with the view of him having a good season and then selling him on for a good profit. It looks as if this is turning out well IMO.
I’d be surprised if they’re found guilty of any, they have more money than the PL and can make life awkward for them with endless challenges and appeals.
Not much going on yet regarding incomings, but that’s fine. We are less than a week into the transfer market and I imagine we’re waiting to see how much money we have by selling one or both of the big guns. I also believe the next 2-3 weeks are where most of it will happen, just in time for the friendlies. TWT. Anyway, question while we’re waiting (sorry if this has been discussed already) If you were in charge and had a transfer budget of £35m, how much would you spend at most, on Liam Delap? The reason I ask, is because I’ve just read that Man City want £20m. Seems a lot for a player who hasn’t been a proven goalscorer yet (though his quality and potential are obvious). I’ll start: £15m
may be a case of a waiting game with delap, if no one has come in for him at city's asking price by the end of August, could be a more sensibly structured deal for a perm
I haven't seen the comments as I don't follow the comments on Twitter, but tbf there's good reason to be very concerned. Does that class as bed-wetting? If so, I guess I'm a bed-wetter then. Pre-season training has already been underway for a week now. The season starts in exactly 5 weeks time. We fly to Turkey in just 10 days time for the training camp and have a couple of high profile friendlies coming up. Not so bothered about the outcome of friendlies obviously, but I'd rather not see us be an embarrassment. That and the fact that we're almost certainly going to be playing massive catch up due to the sheer scale of the rebuild needed. I know that several Championship clubs also haven't made signings yet, but I doubt there are any clubs in our division, maybe in the whole football league, that are undergoing a rebuild, both on and off the pitch, as big as ours. I'm sure a lot of work is going on behind the scenes but it is eerily quiet, which can be argued a good thing but can also be a tad unnerving.
Thankfully, rather than a given position, it looks like it just means she recognised as the longest standing female MP, that's all. Phew.
Father of the House is that bloke from across the waater with the big red face and the nose like a cripples big toe...He reckons Nigel Farage should become head of the Tory party...Post election self induced piss-up?
The fact she's involved in any current sitting government is just mind blowing. I have no doubt she's been great for her local constituency, but I hope to god she doesn't get anywhere near anything important on an national or international scale ( Sorry mods )
So Giles (maybe) going Greaves definitely Philogene definitely Longman likely Who else. Lokilo hopefully Fleming likely Sinik hopefully Will need around 15 players at least
