Sad to see what's become of the Tory Party. I hope the level of rejection yesterday is the rocket they needs to think through how to broaden their appeal sustainability. I was impressed by Starmer's words on Downing Street and believe that he has good intentions and good character. Two pivotal things needed to have a chance of doing the job well, which the last three PMs lacked to some varying extents. That doesn't mean he'll have an easy time and get it all right, but I think there's a half decent chance he'll get more right than wrong.
I reckon the Tories will move ever further to the right to combat Reform and Labour will own the centre ground. One Nation Conservatives will be homeless.
The One Nation Tories will defect to the Bungee Party where they belong. Labour will own what is now centre ground but the country will have moved to the right, as per most of Europe... ...unless Starmer solves the immigration problem, which he shows no sign of doing.
Please tell me his… used to work but doesn’t anymore. Tried pasting and deleting half of the link address as you advised before but still doesn’t work. In many ways it’s helpful that I can’t do it as you and Kiwi get my likes and Stroller, Yorkie etc. can scroll by without being unduly distracted.
Fail Don't know what you did, but when I copied your link and pasted it into the reply, it still said x.com
Labour's manifesto provides no hope that legal immigration will come down (in fact Labour want cheap labour), and the suggestion that Labour will track down and eliminate organised crime re illegals in vast, poverty stricken lawless countries like Iraq and Syria based on the fact that Sir Keir successfully prosecuted a county line gang in Catford is hilarious if it wasn't so serious.
