There's rumours made up maybe that we are after Rak-Sakyi a winger on loan from Palace, along with other Clubs. Think he missed a lot of last season with hamstring problems and spent the season before at Charlton where he did well.
Anyone who has missed large chunks due to injuries, we are definitely interested in ! Palace want to sell him though not loan him out again, which rules us out immediately
You are right Oslo..Jan this year. ANDREW Sparkes has joined the club as goalkeeping coach, replacing Gavin Ward on a short-term basis. Ward is undergoing knee surgery this week which will prevent him from being able to fulfil his duties as first-team goalkeeping coach for the remainder of the season. Sparkes began his coaching in his native Wales with Swansea City before enjoying a seven-year spell in the MLS with New York Red Bulls, working with the Under-23 and U18 goalkeepers. Following a year with FC Red Bull Salzburg in Austria, Sparkes returned to the Liberty Stadium and remained for six years as head of academy goalkeeping. More recently, he spent four years as first-team goalkeeping coach with Southampton and joined Rubén Sellés when he moved from St Mary’s to Reading last summer. We welcome Andrew to the club and wish Gavin well with his surgery and rehab.
Now Sparkes has been named as the Club's first Head of Goalkeeping across the Men, Development, Youth and Women's teams.
It appears that Willock is actually thinking about a new contract with us. That must be good news. Meanwhile in other meaningless gossip there are rumours Hayden who we might or might not be looking at is "on holiday" at a sports injury and rehabilitation centre in the middle east.. ( my question is why?)
Think that sort of thing is quite common now. Tyler Roberts spends much of his summer uploading training videos to Instagram from a place in Marbella a few of them go to to show what a baller he is to potential clubs mug enough to take a chance on him.
If I had a choice of Sunderland or a Kiwi passed off to me Oompah Loompah I’m taking one for the team
QPR and Sunderland lodge bids for 22-year-old with Watford keen QPR and Sunderland have made bids for Valencia attacker Declan Frith, according to a report by Spanish news outlet Marca. QPR and Sunderland are both keen on luring the winger over to England this summer, with Watford also said to be interested in snapping him up. However, La Liga outfit Getafe are also in the frame for his signature and are hoping to keep him in Spain Frith, 22, joined Valencia in 2023 and has since been a key player for their B team over recent times. He made 14 appearances last season, chipping in with a single goal, with his current contract due to run until June 2026. In this latest update regarding his situation by Marca, the Hoops and the Black Cats have made ‘formal’ approaches for the forward but face competition from Getafe. The pair are eyeing new signings ahead of the 2024/25 campaign. Frith started his career in England in non-league with Welling United. He then had spells with Premier League pair Chelsea and Aston Villa before making the switch over to Spain. The Englishman has since been playing his football with Valencia’s second team in the Spanish fourth tier and is yet to make a first-team appearance. They have a decision to make regarding his future in this window with QPR, Sunderland, Watford and Getafe targeting him. The Championship trio could all see him as someone to bolster their respective attacking departments ahead of next term.
l like how he says, ‘we’re a historical club…..he was obviously talking about us fans….. old & unrefurbished! Welcome, son. Make an impact. Play hard & be good to your mum.
