Well, yes. When you vote, you aren't voting for the party you want to form the government or for who you want to be Prime Minister. You're voting for who you want to be MP for your constituency.

 

It might be high time to change that.

This result is not democratic, and based largely on tactical voting.

Presume by PR you mean Proportional Representation = government by committee, a recipe for never getting anything done, in my opinion. PAH, to use your term.

No dawn. All our major parties are out of the same mould. They all believe in big government and high taxes.

Yep,more dark ages,just of a different variance. Anyone who thinks anything is going to be "better"...whatever that means...in 5 years time is completely deluded.
The problems we face here go back for decades and can never be fixed. It's far too late. We'll be sat here in 5 years time with no improvement in our outlook or our prospects. This country is ****ed.....very,very poor leadership and lack of honesty,committment and integrity for well over 60 years has seen to that.
It's a bit like when Donald and Methven came into our club......chancers and spivs on short term makes....that's been the UK Parliament for decades....after yesterday,nothing has really changed,only the personnel.

 

We’ll stick everything that is going crap on here mate, that way we all have a stick to beat the f uckers with when the next election comes around

 

I always wondered how to decide national or local if your favoured local wasn’t in your national party . I now think go national , because the local person should still be working for me and my locality even if in Westminster opposition

 

Boy am I now depressed I fear you are probably right, but I am crossing fingers and toes.
