Hamas have just about lost Birmingham Ladywood so that’s a relief. Bloke seemed absolutely mental on Twitter. Still got 33%.

    Great night for Labour.

    Incredible night for Libdems.

    Superb night for Tories.

Good luck to Kier Starmer. Don't lurch to the right. Be true to core Labour values and improve the state of the country and the lives of everyone who is struggling. Tackle the underlying problems so ppl are no longer exploited by the far right politics of Reform. Listening to a few Labour MPs I think that's looking hopeful.

Have to say the exit poll wasn't far off but bloody hell the Libdems result has been excellent. Imagine 68 Libdems sat next to 115 Tories on the opposition bench. Sizeable!

Good for them! Good for the country too imo. I hope they keep Labour honest.

Just made me think, that's like 480 out of 650 seats in the HOC which are centre left.

If they had any sense they'd go for Tugenhat but they won't.

I've got no idea of the make up of the Tories right now. Hopefully the fruitcakes I mentioned (exception of Hunt and Tugendhat) are marginal and end up being the ones who leave!

Or maybe they should stay and continue the implosion, fck knows.

Voted LibDem. I am coming home to retire!

Most expats have a reasonable disposal income and want to make sure they are not taxed on it in the UK and are not taxed on their savings.

Biggest gripe of most of us with the Tories was them making it harder to bring our brown wives and girlfriends back with us when we return.

    "we did it" Starmer.

Can't help but think it was the Tories that "did it" Starmer was just there at the right time.

A more charismatic leader might have won a bigger share of the vote. But Starmer’s job now Is not scoring points in front of the cameras, it’s getting the country back off it’s arse. I reckon he’s the man for that particular job. We’ll know soon enough anyway

It was obviously a big factor but considering the absolute state he inherited and haemorrhaging votes over Gaza directly and indirectly it’s a hell of a result. It’s 7/10 based on my expectations yesterday but it’s 11/10 based on my expectations after that ****show last time.

That and he wasn't Jeremy Corbyn. Starmer May be boring and unremarkable but that's probably a good thing. Labour probably could have won in 2019 with someone stable instead of a nutter.

Let's judge Starmer on what he does in government rather than what he's done getting there. I think he's a decent, honest bloke.

He's done the ming vase to get into power. But now he has power he should use it with confidence and conviction.

The biggest thing he can do with a majority like this imo will be to radically change planning regulations and build social housing like there's no tomorrow. There'll be lots of NIMBYism but fck them!

    My money is on Badenoch.
The Tories will hope that the prospect of a black female Prime Minister will be enough to sway some ******s who vote based on gender and skin colour.
