I'm putting myself out there as not a huge fan of either, good films but not as iconic to me as they seem to be for some. Withnail and I before either but couldn't fit that in either.

When talking about nostalgia though the place and time can interchange with quality, there's meaning in your memories.

Withnail and I is one of my favourite British comedy films.

As is A Fish Called Wanda which is completely different.

    Aldo's had a mare <whistle>

Your 80's films list is good. I'd probably try and include something from every genre so Platoon would be in there. Would probably think of my favourite horror too. Midnight Express maybe for drama. Or probably Stand By Me.

There's just too fcking many <laugh>

I think you should just add what you like for whatever reason is personal to you. Loads I could add but I like my list right now nothing changing it yet, Die Hard on the cusp though.

    That's below the belt ALDO.

Best viewing right now is the Exit Polls. I can understand the tension though. Any minute now the SNPs learn of their doomed fate. <whistle>

Really like Candy and Martin but PT&A really annoyed me for some reason.
Stand By Me is quality, reminds me of days when we were kids and would **** off for the day down old defunct canal and railway lines Into the coppice. Great days, luckily no desd bodies though.

The Thing as well if we're talking sci-fi/horror. Another classic.
