Afternoon guys, four niced priced EW fancies for me today all over at Lingfield on the AW all well handicapped and capable of winning off their ratings today. 1.10 VITZNAU 22/1 2.15 STRIKE FORCE 25/1 2.50 ARGANIL 20/1 3.20 MY LEARNED FRIEND 12/1 EW Lucky 15 and small EW Singles
Just thought I'd check out the results from Fontainebleau. The first race was won by Aviator trained by Mme M. Bollack-Badel which has made my fecking day
12.40 Lingfield- I've gone mad and played Warrior Nation e.w at 66/1. I think the rider, though inexperienced, might have a bit of talent judging by the yards she has been given rides by, and Warrior Nation did only get beat 3L by the then thriving Laverre a few starts back, which probably equates to form in the high 50s and hence possibly enough to make the frame in this race. That said, she has been given some beatings, and might get beaten the track
Oddy - I dont know about you but Mme M. Badel-Bollack sounds better to me... If she is a Mary, would she have been called Hairy Mary Bollack at school...!!!
Agreed. Seriously, they are in an awful state and this was something I was warned about two years ago when having a chat with a very good economic historian of mine. He pointed out how Italy had essentially got an ageing population where they were overburdening their younger, working generation. I think its fair to say you are now seeing that idea in crystal clear vision. It is slightly more complicated than that though of course, as it is impossible to ignore the Euro as a currency which has created all sorts of issues. >7% is absolutely unbelievable. They might have to have a word with the Germans and somehow convince them to lend them the bailout costs and some sort of long-term pay back plan. Germany might end up big winners if they play this carefully, though it must be said they already are the strongest in the Eurozone.
I thought winning distances over 30 lengths were declared as a distance. Looking at the Southwell results, Golden Call won by 41 lengths and Lively Baron by 84 lengths. Who measures this? And why? And does anyone care?
Not sure if anyone has looked at the 1.55 race at Vaal but there is a horse called Giggs, by Solskjaer
Odddy 1 Nass 2 NO !!! 1.55 Southwell COMMEMORATE (BOG) A nice little maiden hurdle here with a few interesting recruits from the flat high up in the market. The selection Commemorate was previously trained by Andre Fabre and achieved a fair level of form on the flat. He was nothing spectacular but does have ability and his new trainer John Ferguson is certainly making a name for himself among the training ranks. He has done well with similar types and with the market suggesting Commemorate will run a big race first time out over hurdles I will put him up as my only bet today
Befair are running a comp (you have to bet 50quid that day to qualify) where you have to guess the combined winning distances of a selected meeting that day. Todays was southwell so that might have something to do with it. Oh and you have to be dead right, to the nearest 0.1 of a length! Guess what? No-one's won it ages apparently . It rolls over everyday too.
