I’m on the fence with Speakman but if we’re going to call him out for the bad you have to praise him for the good, fighting off offers from some of the biggest clubs in Europe to stay here is sensational and he deserves all the credit in the world for making it happen, we’ve seen our youth teams ripped apart and to have them competing again already deserves praise

Must admit I do miss the Plain English campaign but accept that sadly corporate speak is in every sector nowadays

So do I, but that’s the stupid way they talk now. Makes them feel important.

Im exactly the same, i lost a lot of faith in him with the beale appt - coming out in the press to say its the best training session hes seen was embarrassing

He has also done so many great things, we are a team that wont get the pi$$ taken out of us by agents n clubs these days. We wont sell players for lower than their market value, we wont offer stupid contracts to players who arent really interested in joining us, we will do everything we can to keep our best academy lads and we will sign quality.

We wont get every signing right, and we will waste money on signings at times but all clubs do that as thats just football

Speakman has brought so much talent into the squad since hes arrived so ill always give him massive credit for that. Now this summer its vital that we get the balance in the squad right, thats his next big challenge

Im looking forward to seeing how he does with it

Some people obsessed with the words he uses. It has become trendy I think, in some minds anyway, to point out anything. It is daft. Imagine wanting someone sacked because they used words you didnt like. Think I will stop worrying about peoples obsession with it tbh, each to their own.

It’s not to be overlooked how much better we are with a fit Cirkin and Alese.

Pembele was showing flashes of being excellent.

    Big Dan is a monster.

Jobe, I will pin my hat on now, will be another level this season. If he is here (think we’d be mad to sell this summer he will and 10m to value with another good season)

Dan & Rigg can be special as a pair, Ekwah we know what he is capable of.

The core of that squad, fit, is exciting and vibrant. This window is everything to layer on and enhance that.

I’ve a feeling Clarke may remain.

Where the **** we find this striker I don’t know. I am struggling to even call options to chase.

Last few days have seen the club media and PR dept shine. Some cracking interviews and press conferences. I wonder what today might bring us. Feels like they are really pushing the boat out on fans hearts and minds.

    A Dan Neil contract maybe?

Dan needs announced. Could also be the painful one that he is the one that goes. High stock and would be a high fee.

We know he will go, and when he does will be with our blessing. Would love another year or 2 but we do need a massive fee in from somewhere.

To be fair, I can believe that Beale puts on an excellent training session. He has a reputation as a very good coach. It was the interpersonal stuff that seemed to do for him - and it was signposted in his time at Rangers. That is where Speakman got the Beale appointment totally wrong.

Do enjoy the psychic freakout he triggers when he speaks though. Hilarious frothing all across the SAFC internet. Great stuff:emoticon-0102-bigsm
