    Okay today has come.
    Don't forget to vote....

So today you get my Dads words of wisdom...

    1. you are only allowed to express an opinion if you have bothered to vote. Don't go bleating about the situation you are in in the future ..if you didn't voted.

    2. Women died to get me the vote...use it. ( obviously this was directed at me as a girl)

My Dad would be proud...as today for the first time since leaving the family home near 50 years ago. I will be voting Labour.

( previous tactical voting and a long stretch of being in the Speakers constituency has prevented me from doing the right thing)

I suspect my rather useless Tory MP Greg Smith will be reelected ( he is actually pretty useless..party loyalties aside)...but you never know
Here in mid bucks the Greens have put up a really great local councillor called Greg Smith. Here's hoping a few Tiries actually accidentally vote for him..lol

I think in a free society one is allowed to conclude that nobody represents one’s views and either not bother to vote or spoil one’s ballot paper.

I don’t see how this disqualifies one from having an opinion. It’s having an opinion that led to the decision not to vote or spoil the paper.

This isn’t apathy and isn’t any worse that tactical voting, which is simply an anti-vote rather than anything positive.

I have come around to the idea of PR over recent years; perhaps that would encourage more positive voting rather than cynical anti-voting?

Yeah I don’t agree with point 1. I happen to like this iteration of Labour and the realistic distant second place is whichever Tory fancied running here but I think it’s fair enough to not have been happy over the last 5-14 years regardless of voting or not last time.

Think there’ll be a few scuffles today. Expect Islington North to be a bit hairy with the quinoa-shaggers from all over the country trying to intimidate people into voting for St Jeremy. A couple of particularly fanatical Hamas candidates in Birmingham, one of whom has a real chance.

    No I disagree..
You should exercise your right to vote

Spoil ballot with "none of the above".
It separates you from the could not care apathetic mob.. and if enough people did it..

Go to tactical voting web site...and they have not made a decision on which way to vote to get the Tories out.

Saying it is too close to call.
Which means if we could consolidate...Greg Smith the bad would be out... but we can't and am getting no leadership.

So I am going to vote the way I feel would be the most constructive..and I like our candidate too

So, do UK pollies kiss babies on polling day or is it just a dumb, pathetic practice confined to Australia.

l think it’s part & parcel of the pollies apprenticeship to kiss babies, look like your giving a fcuk, in polling day.

So, you’re exercising your freedoms and right to vote for whoever you like by hopping onto a website and taking heed of someone else’s opinion?

I want the Tories and in particular my useless MP out. I am using my vote in the best way possible to enable that.

I was responding to SPBowles question.

Since the pollsters cannot agree in this constituency how to get rid of the sitting MP. ( who has not answered a single one of my emails or letters which as I have said are apolitical and to do with decisions of NICE, the provision of prophylactic medicine for the immune supressed and the local bus and train services)

I am going to vote for the party that represents closest my views and who has actually answered my question about the bus services in Aylesbury Vale.

Is that OK with you Uber

Tactical voting is a good way of making sure one's vote has maximum impact. People are saying that there's not a great deal of enthusiasm for Starmer's Labour, which may well be true, but there is definitely a lot of enthusiasm for kicking the Tories out. I'm looking forward to following the results tonight and will celebrate every Tory loss, whichever party it may be to (except Reform maybe). Shame they can't spread them out over two or three days for maximum enjoyment.

I’d like to give you my opinion as whether that’s OK with me, Vern, but as someone who might not vote I’m not sure I’m allowed. :)

I have an image of sitting on your sofa at 2AM, trousers and panties around your ankles, a box of Kleenex on the sofa beside you, as if you’re watching Babestation rather than Election Night Special. Quite a horny image, you sexy minx, you.

    Tactical vote web site
    https://tactical.vote

It says recommendation withdrawn...as its recommendation doesn't agree with other polls. Have no idea what that means
