I wouldn't be taking him on loan that's for sure. Really don't see how it benefits us

Facts are we are going to have some loanees, he’s a premium loanee and if it can come as part of the deal we should look into it

He's not though. He's 22 in October, never played higher than L1 and spent most of last season out injured. He's probably worth about £3m+ a few add ons but if they send him out on loan and it's not successful (very possible), he'll be worth a lot less.

He's an exciting young-ish player, but I wouldn't call him a premium loanee in comparison to a Fabio for example.

There's no reason you can't get a permanent deal done for him, especially if they're signing another winger.

Sod loan I’d ask for him permanent

Maybe premium is too far but he will certainly be wanted be a lot of clubs given his natural position and talent

If we're going to loan players when we've got money to spend, it should be for game-changers (Fabio), and not for young players that need developing. It's a little different when we're limited on what we can spend but we're going to sell 2 players for £40m+.

Villa didn't want to sell Philogene last summer and they did, I think Palace would sell Rak-Sakyi if it got them Jaden.

I think we could've got Morton and Delap permanently last summer if we'd have put £5/6m on the table

Or the agent did. Either way, if there's 3 suitors we should get value.

Suspect Barca was the 'leak' to instigate the market in Jaden's case though.

And Ipswich in the case of Greaves.

That Adam Leventhal quoted a Hull City source in the article about the 10m bid initially. Probably not a massive leap to think its the same source again given he's come out with a different number plus add ons. I also get the feeling Romano has links to Acun as well given he leaked Mourinho to Fenerbache.

Either way its benefitting us now. Play it right and we could end up getting over £40m combined for both which would be good business and really get the window under way

They're still punching above their weight, comfortably staying up while teams who outspend them (Leicester, Leeds, Forest) struggle below them.

The KLP signing is a good example of their discipline in sticking to their model and trusting the recruitment they've done. He didn't play much at first and then had injuries, many City fans thought the move had backfired for him. But they knew what they'd bought and stuck with him. They didn't gamble on him getting off to a flying start and carrying them, they understood it might take time, made him one small part of a bigger strategy and were patient with him getting fit again and adjusting to the level. By the end of last season he was playing really well for them. Other clubs cut their losses almost immediately when a signing doesn't instantly click, and go back into the market for a replacement, then they wonder why they have FFP difficulties.

Think the sellons could be a significant part of it if we play our cards right.

But yeah, you'd want 35-40 upfront for the pair to even pick up the phone.

If the current baseline is 35m plus add ons I’m happy. Hopefully someone comes in to drive it up a smidge and we get it done

Pretty much seems Jaden is fairly advanced and Greaves will go too, palace might be one to watch and some sort of opportunity to pay down a Rak-Sakyi kind of deal in the process...?

Not sure he was playing 'really well', only scored once in his last 10 and no assists in that time either.

The likes of Daamsgaard, Hickey, Schade are players they've spent big money on recently that simply haven't worked.

The strategy is failing (it has been for a while), when did they last sell a player for big money? They've not had a decent window in 3 years and they've not really got much right in the recruitment department.

If Thiago isn't a success in replacing Toney, there's a very good chance they'll be in the Championship in 12 months time.

Wouldn't be surprised to see KLP out on loan to a club by where he'll play every week next season. - as part of their development structure of course.

Fabio only came because he was rehabilitating from a failed loan spell in Germany. Id say we restored him as opposed to improving him beyond heights he's previously hit.

No doubt Rosenior said the right things, Acun and Tan pulled out the stops but he didn't come cheap and he had existing on field relationships with both Morton in the Scouse Ressies and Seri, a mentor at Fulham.

Stars are unlikely to align like that on a regular basis. Though there's absolutely no reason why we shouldn't do well in the loan market going forward, given our track record of developing further the likes of Delap, Morton, rehabbing Ozan and Fabio, developing our own in Jaden, Greaves, Slater, Jones - **** it, even Allsop who we got more for what we paid.

We're likely to profit from Oscar and Longman. We have profited from Tetteh also.

Whilst there's been mistakes there's still been a consistent development of assets.

if you add in the Woods and Siniks, contracts for Fleming and the likes of Ebiowe, Figueredo, then it's a very mixed bag, but when you look at the successes, coupled with the likes of Maguire, Robertson and Bowen in recent years, even Cairney a few years back and getting 15m for Clucas - Brady making his reputation here - we really are a club with a reputation for polishing rough diamonds.

    So why shouldn't that continue?

He’s certainly not settled down south. I reckon he’s out on loan this season and can’t imagine he goes anywhere else but us

That'd be Sesko I think. The one who missed that late chance against Portugal...

Decent player. He missed more than one chance...On the 2nd...From where he was he could have chipped the Portugal keeper who was standing just beyond the pen spot.
