We could have done with this in the t20 vs Sussex, rather than leaving Daws in the dressing room during that failed chase.
I see that Turner took 4-60 on day one of the warm-up match vs WI. Solid return, and maybe signs that he's working his way back into form. Jack with a less impressive 0-44.
Mason's batting has progressed so much this season, albeit at D2 level. It feels weird that he's the one who is turning down singles to protect his partner. And he might yet win it for them, and break the world record in doing so.
Mason will probably be gutted, but I think he made the right call to take the single off the 5th ball, in order to bring the scores level. But given the points are the same for a tie or a draw, I'm sure he'll be wondering if he should have gambled on trying to get a 2 (or more) off the last ball.
