Really don’t understand why people think change is coming with labour, 95% of their manifesto is just more of the same but with a different face
This is the problem for me at the moment in time. Without raising money ie taxes or magic wand, it would be difficult to spend without borrowing. Hopefully they find the wand which the Tories used to pay their friends with.
Personally I don't care if it's similar ... ... I'm just sick of massive lies and MPs openly laughing at us. I thought 'levelling up' was a lie as soon as they said it, same goes for the highest levels of integrity, the forty new hospitals and stopping the boats, all lies while they gleefully rake the money in for themselves. Of perhaps Sunak actually said 'Stop the votes' ... ... in which case that's one thing he actually got right.
How are they different? Genuine question. I'm about as far from a believer of right wing politics as you will find. I loathe the principles the conservative party are based upon. But I don't really see the labour party standing for anything, let alone anything different to the conservatives.
I dont care who people vote for but any party having a majority of 200+ is not good for this country as there will be virtually no opposition
Let’s see how they’ve done after 5 years. If they are doing well, brilliant, if they are doing s hit I can guarantee they won’t get 14 years like the Tories did. So it’s up to them, Over to you Kier mate.
Just want a middle of the road party who will be fair to all. Unfortunately absolutely sweet FA chance of that happening as almost all of them from every fkn party are there to line their own pockets.
I believe kier has more integrity in him than all the tory leaders from the past 14 years put together, excluding possibly May. Cannot see him lying or giving contracts to his mates.
One side has indicated that they will pay for their spending plans by getting rid of non-dom tax status, removing the tax rebate on private schools and increasing corporation tax. The other has said it will pay for it by cutting the welfare budget. A massive difference in my opinion.
To be fair mate, the outgoing bunch are barely fit to be in politics, let alone be a useful opposition ... ... they'd be like a neighbour, whose garden is a complete mess, leaning over your fence telling where you're going wrong. Labour, with a big majority, will have no one to blame but themselves. In any case, it's irrelevant ... they're going to win with a big majority, whatever we think about it. And, just as we were told with the Brexit result, that's democracy and we can't complain.
I used to love political satire like Not The Nine O' Clock News and The New Statesman. The FACTS he fires out like a machine gun on that video make political satire redundant. No comedy writer could dream up anything as ridiculous and outlandish as the Tory Party government have contrived to "deliver" the electorate for the last 14 years. Thank God there is only 1 more day of the bastards
But even with a majority of, lets say for example 20, a government could still get through most changes they want as long as the MPs voted with them. So this 'Super Majority' scaremongering doesn't really matter in the scheme of things?
