His dad Andy (not that one) also played for Leeds, although not that much. Paul O’Keefe says we’re interested in Doue (hardly breaking news) but has also said that Neto is back on the radar. I’m a big fan of Neto but his injury issues are a real concern.
Doue highly rate youngster, would be a good signing albeit I think the club needs to add some experience and ‘now’ players rather than more for the future. Neto would be a hard pass for me for several reasons
The main issue I have with Doue (other than expecting at least three clubs to pounce the second we make a bid) is it looks like he'd play Sarr's role in our system, so unless Sarr is dropping back to be a DM there's a potential playing time issue there Ironically he'd cook under Poch in the Dembele role
It’s only his injury issues that concern me, outside of that he’s mustard. One of the best players outside of those at the big six in my opinion. In that same category as the likes Olise, Eze, Bruno G, Watkins, Toney etc.
I think he’d be utilised further forward if he joined, not sure he’d be right for a CM role right now but with Son, Werner, Solomon, Kulu and Johnson, there’s already a lot of competition for those spots and that’s not forgetting the likes of Moore hopefully getting game time too, plus the possibility of an instant impact (Neto?) type joining too which pushes others down in the pecking order. Another reason why it was so great to re-sign Werner

Kamada has completed his move to Palace, which extends his sequence of playing for sides that have a bird on their badge. Gamba Osaka, Eintracht Frankfurt, Sint-Truiden, Lazio, Palace and even his national team, Japan. Might free up Eze and possibly indicates we may be later in his sequence...
I agree. Very exciting to see all these young prospects arrive, but we desperately needed more experience in and around the team last year. We already have the third youngest squad in the PL, and would have been second youngest were it not for the fact that Forster is 103 years old. Our oldest outfield player is Son and he turns 32 this week. Apart from him and Davies (31), no one is over the age of 30. I think we felt that at times last season, in games where we just let the tempo slip away from us and had no one on the pitch with the wise old head needed to think our way back into the game.
I don’t know if you include development players usually but if you do, Charlie Sayers, Kieran Morgan, Billy Heaps and Han Willhoft-King were all released. Other than that all good, bud.
The following Academy players were also cut Charlie Sayers Han Willhoft-King Billy Heaps Kieran Morgan Technically the only two of note on that list are Sayers and Willhoft-King, Sayers as he was in the U21s and was tipped to step up a couple of times until he missed an absurd amount of time due to injury, while Willhoft-King is the latest example of the Grauniad's Next generation list being a millstone as he turned down a contract in spite turning 18 in January (so expect him to wind up somewhere PDQ)
Romano’s said we’re monitoring KWP but no bid or talks so far. Brighton have also enquired about him and West Ham are trying to do a swap with Flynn Downes heading the other way who was on loan at Southampton last season. It does feel like KWP would be a smart signing, he’s better than Emerson and more suited to Ange-ball, can cover both flanks and ticks the HG/ CG boxes too but it’s whether he’d want to return knowing he’s going to be a squad player considering he left us due to lack of game time in the first place.

Looks like there's growing interest in loaning Jamie Donley, with Preston and Plymouth joining Oxford Just as long as none of them are in playoffs at the end of the season, given the dismal record of our loanees in them last season...
