Of course they would, if they’re good enough they’d get a much bigger move in the summer regardless of whether they stay up or not. Either way it’s a much better career move than staying here.
So, I know its only two players from the squad or starting 11 but this makes me think again that we underperformed last season. Ipswich got automatic promotion with their largely league 1 squad, we couldn't even make the play offs with our roll the dice all in attempt. Now Ipswich think two of ours are good enough for them in the premier league. Again it's only two but it makes you think, well me anyway. Probably Acun too.
No - just that Ipswich -even if they added Greaves and Philogene wouldn't be good enough to stay up. Greaves and Philogene could go somewhere like Wham or Everton and flourish as PL players
I think they'd hold out for a safer bet than Ipswich given the other teams mentioned. I know they're currently a step up from us, but its a gamble that could have us swap places in a years time. If Ipswich were the only team interested I'd give them more of a chance but you'd feel a lot more secure of Prem status moving to an Everton or a West Ham. Might get them to pull their fingers out though. Just wish we could keep greaves and sell philo if we need to raise funds but can't keep someone away from the Prem.
I was pretty much certain Greaves was joining West Ham at the end of last season so anything can still happen
Maybe if the pair head off to Ipswich we could ask for someone like Jack Taylor as part of the deal. He didn't seem to get a place in their squad that much. Played a decent amount of games, but was either off the bench or the player subbed off
I once mentioned Norwich were a club to emulate, sold out season tickets every year despite high prices, a good training set up, all despite having owners who worth next to nothing…Like at the meltdowns that caused. Though I have enjoyed living rent free in the heads of those people and shooting fish in a barrel as they keep bringing Norwich up. A couple of more intelligent people on here grasped that, as one confirmed first time I met him in person after only conversing on here. As my son said to him, he didn’t know why I kept winding people up about Norwich as he had never heard me mention them once. A City fan I have known for over 50 years said the same. He did tell them the only other team whose result I look for after City though. Back to the shiite in chief…
I am not the one who keeps bringing them up. Ipswich are another club from a smaller place we could emulate, though their fans don’t stick with them like Norwich’s,
