This is what I don't understand....

We've got 5 who can play CF.

Bamford, Rutter, Piroe, Joseph and Joffy. I'm guessing we're all expecting Joffy is going he's not progressed the way we expected. That leaves 4 for one position. We've turned down a bid for Rutter so why do we need another striker?

Especially as we have Aaronson and we're in the lead for O'Hare's signature who will both play in the CAM role.

Great to see all these clubs clamouring for a forward line that couldn’t fire us to promotion

The advantage of the gray deal being done is we now have negotiation leverage should we cash in.

They’re all big talents but with room for improvement (mainly between the ears) so I wouldn’t cry in my sleep over any of them going… if the funds were reinvested.

No worries on the funds being reinvested, Only snag it may be on new villas for Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth and the lads in Florida <ok>

That’s a very good point. I’ve often wondered why clubs try to take our players rather than from the sides that got promoted (with the exception of Dewsbury-Hall). Even Kieffer Moore scored the same amount of goals as Rutter last season in 30 less games.

All 3 of them faded last season towards the end. Rutter i think was carrying a knock, hard to say whether summerville and Gnonto had been found out a bit or just the rigours of a long season. Summerville has real pace and very quick feet so i can imagine premier clubs thinking they can work on his flaws. Rutter looks really classy when it works but he doesn't seem to have a sense of when is the right moment to do his stuff - and when he's off it he's a total liability. Again maybe they think he'll learn with experience. All comes down to what they think someone's ceiling is i guess and what can be coached. Gnonto is the youngest but seems the most mature from a footballing perspective (disregarding his ****housery)... but probably also the one with the least natural attributes and lowest ceiling.

Be interesting to see who's still here when the merrygoround stops.

Summerville's League record (including the 3 play off games) for last season, plus the number of goals we scored as a team in the games that he was involved in

One out of left field is Ben Brereton-Diaz. Yes we tried to get him from Blackburn twice for Bielsa, in the end he went Villareal but didn’t like it much so was loaned out to Blunts last season in the prem where he scored 6 in 14. He plays wing or CF tall and rangy, good in the air and has pace. Right now he’s worth only £8m and Ipswich and Southampton are trying to get him on loan. He had a couple of seasons for Blackburn scoring 20+ per season

Would love this but can’t see him not going PL with that record. He’d do well in the lower half of the league.

As usual more tranny news on goings out than coming in. Apparently Cooper is on his bike because he wanted a 2-year deal but only offered 1 year.mjust like to place on record my thanks for his service, but Liam you ain’t played for a couple of years and not good enough now mate. Go take up offers from Saudi and earn a few quid and if you don’t want to move go the Blunts, Wendies, Back to Rotherham or Barnsley, Uddersfax…..

Perhaps they realised the folly of their ways when Coops couldn't even get into a shocking Scotland team, with little or no competition at CB. <doh>

Right decision, in fact given how little he played last year I was surprised he was offered a contract at all. With Rodon back, Struijk fit and possibly Wober still here, as great as he has been for us it’s time for all to move on.

Speaking of how little he played how about Bamford? Hardly played for two and a half years but earning a fortune. Value for money NOT

Agree with you but with Bamford it was more the injuries, with Cooper once fit he still wasn’t being picked.

Nice of Farke to bring him on against Norwich though.
