Watching sleaford mods while eating me dinner, I don’t know what it is about these but I love them.

Just looking now. Looked like the worst attended headline act on the pyramid of all time. Sound issues and not popular .bad booking.

Despite him/Smiths regularly being one of my favourite acts for years I've somehow managed to avoid them for decades. They actually played at my club a few times but I was either at matches or whatever, as they toured regularly I stupidly thought I'd catch them the next time ...

... time is running out now <doh>

Loved reading these posts about the jumps. In particular Cheltenham. Never missed from mid 90s to the year AP won on Synchronised. Stopped going racing generally as it was getting about the betting not the sport, and didnt like that path.

Boy did I see some great Horses. Istabraq, what a machine. Hardy Eustace and Brave Inca, two of the toughest you will ever see. Harchibald was a classy animal, could have matched Kribensis, but Hardy Eustace wouldnt be beat. If you havent seen it watch the ride Paul Carberry gave him, absolute nerves of steel.

Always loved the stayers. Barracouda, what a horse. Inglis Drever, one for the north.

I saw One Man win. I was blessed to see Moscow Flyer, absolutely beautiful horse. His battles with Azertyuiop were epic.

Then the Gold Cup. Master Oats was my first. Saw the Kauto Star v Denman battles. But my all time favourite horse was Best Mate. He was the best jumper of a fence, and he and Culloty just were in synch. Saw him win a bumper at Cheltenham at the old Mackesons meeting and fell in love. Was at the last for all 3 of his Gold Cups. The last one was a fight as they tried to box him in, but Culloty got him out coming to the last and he just flew it, must have taken 3 lengths out of the others. Loved it.

Then maybe the sad times too. Valiramix dying was a terrible day, along with many others, but this one stays with me. Super talented horse, and to watch AP try to keep going that week was a tough watch.

Aye I love jump racing but I'm starting to lose a bit interest in it tbh. Although Cheltenham is an unbelievable experience. Used to go all 4 days but now it's down to 2.

Some class horses you've mentioned there. Brave Inca was me dad's favourite horse.

I remember watching the Kauto documentary when he died and cried.

I'm going to dublin in a few weeks for a stag, but I might nip off to the Irish national stud to see hurricane fly and the others.

Think my first year at Cheltenham was 08 or 09 so I missed seeing the greats you've mentioned live, but I would watch it the tv after school while me dad was down there.

I loved loads of the wylie horses, shame he's lost interest after what happened to a few of his. And he's a mag <laugh>.

If I ever had money I'd have a string of jumps horses, even know what I'd call them all.

Seems to have been a bit of a non-event this year.

I do like the chat around Banksy's boat stunt mind.

Maybe the organizers will let me in for nowt and give me a free tent and beer so I can see it for myself next year. To not do so would be racist.

Watching the 'best of Glastonbury 2024', what actually deserves to be on it this year? I've seen bits and haven't hated it but considering the prestige of it it's been been borderline disastrous how weak it's been this time around.

I think they've arrived at the point whereby they know the tickets will all sell whoever they put on.

I used to love it and there was always something expected that lived up to expectations or totally unexpected that really shook you. I've just had a rerun of all the content and was quite disappointed ...

... Kevin Rowland was embarrassing and the fake I always thought he was, the K-Pop group wasn't even X-Factor reject standard and Shania Twain isn't close to being a real legend ... more like a one hit wonder who got lucky.

Being told that the Sugababes were 'fabulous' was like being told you've just inherited Nigerian goldmine shares ...

... obviously nonsense, really tedious and a waste of your time.

Yes Coldplay have loads of good songs but they're 'an act' these days and heading for a Las Vegas style residency.

It's become another Hootenanny imo, all credibility gone.

If it wasn't for Starburster it would've been one big novelty act.
