£20m according to ESPN https://www.espn.co.uk/football/sto...ed-newcastle-agree-deal-director-dan-ashworth
I heard with my ears on talksport this afternoon around about 5:40pm that the amount was undisclosed. So no ****er knows how much. And anyone being ITK (for the record to any jockstraps I am quoting what my ears heard on the radio) is talking bollocks. That felt quite good.
****, wrong one Actually its a newcastle site quoting ESPN now im looking into it.... https://cominghomenewcastle.sbnatio...ed-to-pay-hefty-compensation-for-dan-ashworth
Go look at ToonPolls though.......Man Utd fan doing exactly the same. Thing is there's some face saving going on from both sides here..... If Man Utd went way over their offer they lose face, especially after all the public moaning. If we went way under we lose face. Guessing it will be somewhere in the middle.
I don’t think we needed the Ashworth money for what it’s worth. I think the Anderson and Minteh sales were more than enough. This just draws another line under things and we can move on. I think these sales enable us to spend big now.
W hat makes you think that. The deadline has come and gone. Any sales now fall into the next accounting year?
You honestly think we were £70m in the ****????? I can't, having tried a ton of times, figure out how the hell it could possibly be anywhere near that. I've even ran sums discounting the entire ticket sales from Champions League and can't get that far out. I've even done it without allowable adjustments and can't figure it out. I know Eales miscalculated CL prize money by £8M on the Amazon doc, but when you see how everything had to go through PIF's financial side before any decision was made, you have to ask if this is all bollox? regardless of which side of the fence you sit on. Only thing that even springs to mind is absolutely ridiculously high agents fees.
I’m still convinced it was 25m and not much more. The fact we have managed to get in 70m plus the Ashworth money only helps our summer spending plans. The club have pulled an absolute blinder.
