Didn’t think much of the Iceland full backs then :emoticon-0105-wink:

O Hare? Annoying little footballer but effective.

Is Bradley Dack available OS<whistle> :emoticon-0105-wink:

Warnock should have bought him instead of Madine when we had options on both - he went for Madine instead. <doh>

They're both available on frees and I still like Dack, but at around the 30 mark, would be a bit of a risk - I'd take on O'Hare before him

With all due respect to those concerned (and I include myself), the forum is swamped with farming, todgers, holidays, nostalgia, Euros et all.

FFS let's have some CCFC club football activity news on here if it's only gossip, speculation and discussion. What's happened to jck when you need him?

Otherwise I'm warning you, I'll start a thread on politics..............<laugh>

Sparks, the trouble is there appears to be no news of any kind from the club. Even if jcktwat was to post it would be unjustified, unwarranted bullsh1te.

In the absence of any news, rumours etc then any sort of reasonable (that excludes jcktwat) conversation is useful, if only to keep us old gits in touch with each other. If we stop doing that this board will become a desert, full of tumbleweed and bereft of humour of any kind and conversations on other topics of interest.

I hope the club gets it's arse in gear ASAP although I have a sneaking suspicion that we are going to place a lot of responsibility on the youngsters who have returned from loan and/or got game time at the end of last season. Plus we are likely to be relying heavily on the loan market again which is unlikely to swing into operation until the bigger clubs start organising their squads post Euros.

While we have an expectation of VT digging his hand in his pocket possibly we are waiting on the rumoured sale of Rubin Colwill to Ipswich to generate £4/5 million as a cash cow for signings.

We can only wait and see. <ok>

Don't be a hypocrite, we had one of those and you objected.:emoticon-0105-wink:
At least the farming, todge, holiday, nostalgia posts keep people hanging around ready for when we sign someone. Or discuss someone who won't be signing for us anyway.

Can't believe how quiet the rumour mill is.
Never mind, once the euros are over, the players Erol has been keeping an eye on in the tournament will come flooding in.
I wonder what his contacts are like in Georgia and Slovenia?

Never mind, a weekend of rugby coming up. Eng v NZ, Wales v Aus, Ireland v SA, Arg v Fra and Can v Scot.
Must update the ex-player watch thread with an update on Aaron Wainwright.:emoticon-0140-rofl:

Pleased to report that the sheep are doing well, though one of the chickens died in the week.
Cool conditions are keeping water conditions good at our club trout fishery. A positive management meeting yesterday afternoon after catching a couple of trout in the morning.
On the holiday front, off to Rhayader for a week in a few weeks, Royal Welsh Show week and a week of fishing for trout and grayling on the Wye.
Our daughter was a baby when we first went. She doesn't come for the week now. Sometimes a day or two, sometimes not at all. Also fished with my dad the first time we stayed. I miss fishing with my dad, and discussing the bluebirds, he was a lifelong supporter from the early 50s, including some of the glory days. The salmon run on the Wye isn't what it was either.
Not much to report on the todge. I do feel sorry for it though. Lives with a couple hangers on, nearest neighbour is an @r$ehole and its best friend is a tw@t.
    There, all bases covered.:emoticon-0137-clapp

See Sparks, what a wealth of life experiences we have on here. Definitely worth promoting in the absence of any CCFC football news.

I disagree with Clingo on the tennis though. I don't make it a life purpose to watch tennis all day when Wimbledon is on although I do enjoy watching young ladies getting hot and sweaty while bashing some balls around.

Ironically I have to question the level of fitness of some of those seen so far. The one Raducanu played yesterday could do with losing a few pounds and one on just now was simply ugly.

    Oi!
You can't disagree that I hate something! You may like tennis but that's a different argument. I hate tennis and I am the exclusive expert in my feelings towards it.
    So sucks yah boo! <nahnah>

Seriously though, I really can't stand it.

There's talk that Perry NG will sign for Gloucester City for an undisclosed fee.

In addition, the transfer of the tea lady as identified by my good friend William, has taken another twist as several turnstile operators are leaving CCS to join her in her new venture.

    BREAKING NEWS
    Teacups.

Well I have news that I have bought tickets for the matches against Kortrijk and Reading. Not many tickets appear to have been sold so far.

Has anyone bought the new shirt yet?

Were saucers mentioned in the breaking news?

I bet Sparkey wishes he hadn't commented now.:emoticon-0140-rofl:

To be honest though, we should get this thread back on track (tumbleweed) and put our general banal chit chat elsewhere.:emoticon-0148-yes:

    Good luck Ollie

Defender Oliver Denham has joined Irish side Sligo Wanderers from Cardiff City on a permanent basis, subject to international clearance.

The centre back has signed an 18 month deal with the League of Ireland Premier side following a six month loan spell at the end of last season.

I see the Reading game is at CCS but the first 3 are at the Sports Village. Not expecting many for those.
