Kravatskhelia is unreal and so good on the counter here but I just don’t think he could run at players like that if he was playing in our team with defenders parked much deeper - something I think Gordon would struggle with too.
So good by Nico Williams. This Spain team is dangerous, all the great technical ability of a usual Spanish side with the addition of blistering pace and dribbling on each flank with Williams and Yamal.
Pickford Walker Stones Konza Gomez/Shaw if fit. Mainoo Rice Bellingham Palmer Kane Toney Take the game to them. Stop this negative sh*t. Faint hearts win f*ck all.
Two up front would make a big difference, because it would allow Kane to drop and still have someone up there to keep the ball going forwards rather then having to check back all the time. I was impressed with Toney yesterday.
https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/jude-bellingham-goal-england-slovakia-b2571639.html It's an age thing for him, but there's no need to say anything to critics, let the football do the talking.
I like this side of him tbh. It’s an arrogance we lack, we’re too soft and that team who were known as gracious in defeat.
That's why there was criticism in the first place. England haven't even been average yet and that's unforgivable for a side with that much talent in it. If he thinks that goal cures all then he's got a lot to learn. Be arrogant when you play well, but this kind of thing is straight out of the golden generation playbook. A similar performance on Saturday will see us dead and buried by half time.
