10nseconds penalty when he could have a 5 seconds for weaving before means no actual loss of points

Oh great a completely meaningless 10 second penalty. Seriously this soft touch bollocks from the stewards has become a farce

Max can't drive anyone who challenges him fairly, the stewards will do nothing, if it was Stroll or Kmag they'd be getting ****ed for sure, 2 weaves and a deliberate swipe, each one should've been a warning.

Max has always flapped under pressure where wheel to wheel racing is concerned.

It was a long boring watch from about lap 4 up to that pit stop.

Then drama, then nothing at the end.

Now the stewards have punished verstappen once that's it?

    Weaved,

    Left track and gained advantage

Drove car off track causing collision

I'm glad norris tapped him back and punctured him cos he'd have got away with the lot if not

He's got that Senna/Schumacher vibe about him. Hell of a driver, but 100% guaranteed to run you off the road if there's an advantage to be gained. That'll never change

Just watching Bernie and Naomi right now. I'm sorry, but Naomi brings nothing to the table

Must admit that on some of them I did wonder where the normal racing turn in point was. i.e. did Max just try and take the racing line on at least one of the corners that Anthony analysed.
The coming together was, imho Max's fault. He didn't need to take that much risk, Max had a higher max speed with drs open and I think he might well have won the place back no problem.

    And Jennie Gowe

I’m obviously missing something , if someone can help please .

When a driver gets a 5 sec penalty they stop in the pits , A 10 second penalty , they seem to add it at the end of the race ?

If they go in pits after the penalty they serve in pits otherwise on track 10 seconds added to time.

no, they're applied the same, at the pit-stop unless it's given after the last pit-stop has been completed.

    No.

He got no 5 second penalty for weaving but should have.

If you get any penalty you either serve it at the next pitstop or it's added to end of the race.

So if it’s applied during pit stop they get penalised for the slowing down for the pit stop as well .

If it’s applied after the race it’s just 10 seconds ?

It can be either penalty applied post race.

The size of penalty is down to the type of offense.

Vertsappen getd 10 seconds for causing an accident.

Hamiton gets 5 seconds for half a wheel over a white line.

Hamilton did his early so knows he has to have another pitstop so serves the penalty in thr race.

Verstappen does his late so as there was no more pit stops he has it tagged on his tine at the end.

By rights vertappen should have have 5 seconds for weaving

Then 10 seconds for failing to give a place back after passing off the track

Then a black flag for chasing an accident.

At it was for the lead the stewards bottled the first two. If they actually applied either for the first offensed then verstappen would have had to serve them when he pitted for his puncture.

Next time norris should just drive away from the **** afte passing off the track and take his 10 second penalty

Imo he would have gained more than 10 seconds in free air over verstappen.

    Cheats prosper in f1.
