    OK, my first draft of a banner layout as a tribute for Gary Speed: I wouldn't expect this to be a permanent fixture mind but certainly a week or so?

    I did wonder about fitting in a quote by Gary but most were too long/wordy.

    Looks great <ok>

    My only concern is how long it would take to get put up. Look at how long we had to wait for the current one. Mick's obviously has other concerns about this forum at the moment as well.

    There seems to be a mix on whether some people want it or not. While some are reminded of the great times Speed had with us, others do seem to be quite upset at the prospect of seeing him every day.

    So I would suggest a one off poll lasting for 24 hours, so everyone has a chance to vote, on whether we have a banner or not. Just a simple yes or no, nothing like the last one we had regarding banners.

    Thank you all for the feedback - I'm not precious about whether it get's used or not nor if anyone wants to use it for a signature etc.
    That's fine by me - I can crop it to suit where the 'bleed' edges aren't needed.

    Can I make a suggestion? I reckon it would look real classy if we just had the pic from when he signed for us, the one on the far left, in the middle, fading into a purely black background either side with a quote on one side in white writing and "Gary Speeed 1969-2011" on the other. Just a thought, nice and simple <ok>
