I get what you mean completely mate, the little touches of details are fantastic. Having a properly bespoke kit is a class above anything we’ve had recently.
If you fuse nostalgia with an actual quality item the sky is the limit. Club, Hummel and the instantly and incredibly impressive Mr Bruce knocked it out the park. Can’t wait to see the aways.
We got someone in who is good at his job, and with the bonus of being a Sunderland fan and knowing our fans and history. Retail side is night and day from Donald and Salmon Pants and Steve Davison days.
Very nice to see such a positive reaction to the whole thing. A far cry from Avec and the 'what the hell is this?' days although I've still got an original green one.
The first set of Avec shirts were a bit rubbish, although I've still got the home one. The second set, the Farewell to Roker Park shirt, and the white Scorpion Lager one were class. Proper mid-90s bagginess at its best. Although they look better in long sleeves (I've only got the short sleeved home). Edit: The shorts from that first, teal, away kit were amazing!!
Well done to the club on getting this absolutely spot on. it’s unbelievable mind that previous owners haven’t cottoned onto what fans have talked about for years. hopefully KLD, Bruce, Speakman and Le Bris have witnessed what happens here when you get things right and can deliver on the playing side
I signed up to the stock alert emails, after shifting so many so quickly i'm not expecting more in till next weekend at the earliest
That isnt to say they will get some in earlier mate. I just think a week is a sensible time period to get more in.
Anyone know when the away and 3rd kits will be out? If one of them has the ship badge on as rumours suggest I expect the sales could top the home shirt
