By UEFA standards yes. They are strict on handballs. Not sure it would have been in the PL.

 

The penalty is a disgrace. But the problem is with the law not the officials.

The handball rule has become bullshit.

 

Rules of the game are ****ing ridiculous. A ****ing toe offside disallows a perfectly good goal and a hit n hope cross to nobody earns a free goal. Stupid beyond belief.

 

Rules are rules. It's daft, but the officials had no choice there.

 

How do we know that VAR would let us know if there was a 'snick' in the Germany box?

 

Wait. One of the most fundamental rules of the game changes depending on what competition you're in?

 

It does, actually. In Europe they are not so forgiving on handballs as they are in the Premier League.
