Actually, as disappointed I am with the fee and him going, it is probably a good move for him. He will play plenty of premier league games, which he wouldn’t at Liverpool or Arsenal, will be good for his development whereas sitting his arse on the bench won’t. And you are of course quite right, he can turn the move down. Whilst I thought I was over not being promoted, losing a player like Archie to a nonentity like Brentford is really seeing the crushing reality of where we are.

At least Rapha and Kalvin went to two of the best sides in Europe for top dollar. In the Championship we can't even hold the likes of Brentford and Bournemouth at arms length. At least we might win a few games though next season before the likes of Palace come and get our next successful player. In a few years we can try and get down to league 1 again when this league gets too tough. Should win a few down there too.
I agree with you on near about everything. My point was more we have mega rich owners in the 49rs and RB who should be allowed to invest what they damn well want in a club they own. The “big six” are trying to exclude teams from breaking in (have you heard the new scum investor Ratcliffe talking about how they and the other five should have more influence over premier league football as they are the teams everyone wants to watch - what a ****er). In a fair world we wouldn’t need to sell anyone unless we want to. I also think we should just break the rules and take the rap on the knuckles punishment

Maybe that's the only offer that has come in for any of our stars. I'm sure if someone came with £30 million plus for Summerville, Gnonto or Rutter the Archie would be staying. Unfortunately the only offers that are coming in are for Gray. It's not a case of choosing who to sell. If it's a necessity then it's a case of first come, first serve.
