I’m not bothered about Jobe leaving for good money but what’s the obsession with Rigg coming into the team? Surely whoever is better should play. When Hemir comes on and does nothing spectacular people are screaming for us to sell him but when Rigg does the same people are desperate for us to force him into the first team..
We've just seen what happens when you put a young lad into the team and are apparently determined to thrash him to death. Rigg is another season away from playing week in week out.
Brentford signing Archie Gray from Leeds. Cue the meltdown from those Yorkshire melts as they see him as some sort of messiah because of his last name.
Didn't we pay £2mil for Hjelde who has to prove himself as a centre half as he's definitely not a left back. If Millars in our wage group he would be worth a shot if Jack is away !

Wonder what’s going on up the road. They literally offered Anthony Gordon to Liverpool (confirmed by Liverpool), who declined. How serious is this financial hole they have it’s looking pretty damaging.
Was never seriously linked but always felt like he was a ‘Sunderland’ player, would have been good alongside Ballard
Would be nice, but it still leaves a bad smell when we know Man City will go and spend another quarter of a billion this year.
I like Jobe and I think he can really kick on and be a good player, but his reputation is bigger than his ability at this moment. It's possibly that he would command the highest fee in the squad currently (looking at the prices being mentioned and clubs interested) yet I'd say Clarke, Neil, Ballard and Hume will all have more impact on the pitch in the next 2 seasons. So in that sense, he's the best asset to sell because he both commands the highest fee and him leaving only has minimal impact. That says nothing about his potential and he'll definitely be worth more by the time he's 21, but if £20m now helps us strengthen sufficiently to get to the Premier League in the next 2 years, then that's the value play.
Not to mention Chelsea and these weird multi million pounds deals for under 21 players happening with Everton and villa
Excellent post mate, wasn't thinking of it that way. I was aware of him clearly being worth more than his ability due to his name but i didn't think about it meaning we could get similar money as we would for the likes of Clarke but would have less impact on the pitch.
We need some balance and more variety in midfield. Although Norwood does that I think there are better options out there. Browne is the obvious one. I’d also prefer Mowatt who hasn’t signed a contract at WBA although one expect wages would be an issue. Sunjic is out of contract and, although Brum were poor last season, he’s more natural CDM and at a good age. I hope we persist with Ba. I think there is a player there, he needs a consistent position and continued games. I’d have him ahead if Robert’s as RW currently.
Good deal all round that for me. Brentford get a supremely talented youngster, Gray goes to an excellent coach, Leeds get a big fee for a player that isn't the finished product which they can reinvest and eases their financial concerns.
I’m very intrigued to see what strikers get linked here. I really like the look of Tobias Lauritsen. But wouldn’t be surprised if we looked at Troy Parrott or loaning Tom Cannon
