We've been boring in every tournament Southgate has coached. This time we are both boring and directionless.
It feels like we miss slab head. Could always rely on him to score from a set piece and carry us through to gloss over the lack of creativity
Aside from the administratively correct replies you’ve already had, the one positive is that Georgia are through, they’ve been very entertaining I’ll be tuning in to them v Spain
Ah, what could have been if Bryan Robson didn't get injured in either Italia '90 or Mexico '86. I would have loved to have seen Maradonna try and pull that hand of God **** with Robbo around.
Gazza, Robson, Lineker and maybe Barnes. The others if I remember became good in our eyes after that tournament and with hindsight. That said, Waddle, Walker and Platt were pretty good too. Maybe I am talking BS lol.
Just reading out Martin Out/In/The saviour thread. We all seem to think that he was totally inflexible during the season in the league (group stage) - normally to our detriment and we got lucky. Then in the knockout games, he got things spot on and pulled it out of the bag. Sound familiar? Hope so. Signed, Russell Southgate aka Gareth Martin.
Hi, could someone please explain how Slovenia came third and Denmark came second in Group C as their points, GD, goals F and A are all the same?
Not sure but cards possibly? I think I read somewhere that the last tie breaker is based on most recent result between the two.
In preparation for the Italy game I am lying in the garden listening to some classic Italian music to get me in the mood
