They will have pissed Gordon off with this move after he had a good season for them and made themselves look like mugs with that offer. Quansah looks top quality he's English, 21 years old and fitted into a team challenging for the title all season as if he'd played there for years, they simply couldn't afford him.
Obviously newcastle want help with ffp via a fee and wanted a player. If they offered the same deal for 40mil plus gomez I'd think about it for about 30 seconds. ****ing flop merchant.
Looks like Brighton sorting Newcastle’s PSR issues by signing Minteh for £33m. On loan at Feyenord last year - can imagine that puts an end to our interest in Gordon as Newcastle no longer need to sell And Brentford signing highly rated Gray from Leeds for £35m.
Newcastle and first have money problems… Now Elanga is off to Newcastle and Anderson (who?) who is off to forest for £35m. Bit clubs just inflating their prices for both players so evens it out and can both make a nice bit of profit for this years accounts. Does seem a complete roundabout way of doing things. Makes a huge mockery of the psr rules so they need to be ripped up and rewritten to be fit for purpose or else all clubs do is swap players for inflated prices which causes huge knock on effect with rest of the market leading to more money being transfered and ultimately fans paying the price
Maybe introduce an independent assessor for all take deals to ensure they are fair and reflective of the current transfer market
Think it’s impossible. What do you base it on? united spending 80m on casemiro for 1 year? us spending £30m on Salah for one of best forwards prems seen? Chelsea paid £40m for palmer that now looks a bargain. Not sure how you ever evaluate to see what is fair. Just have to hope that all these deals that benefit them in the short term cash flow hinder them over next few years where they are tied to paying those costs each year for a player that isn’t going to play
I think the average American dies a little every time they see the word meter. A good percentage of them couldn't give a rough estimate of how big a meter is. It is taught in schools but never used in the real world.
also clubs will view it as worthwhile to "overpay" for someone they see as taking them to next level / vital cog . I would say that both VVD and Allisson are examples of that .
This is stupid. Palmer. No right foot. Back to walker. Walker put it in? No pass back. Hoof from.no angle then Stupid.
