I’m good mates with Steve Burton for those who remeber him. No great stories but some decent nights out with the squad at that time
yeah he was a touch unlucky, if i remember correctly he'd just got in Molbys team for the saturday. Molby was then sacked, Steve kept his place for a few games until Taylor rocked up and brought Delaney in.
As it's Glastonbury...I once served Neil Allison when I worked in a now defunct city centre music shop in the 90s. He returned MSP's ' Everything Must Go' and swapped it for a Best of The Jam CD.
Not sure on that, I can’t remember. He went on loan to kiddie then permanently I think. Then DD went to centre back
Come on Rover He’s been a regular at Humber St Sesh and lives on North Hull I think. He’s performed live in a EffCee shirt before (maybe that’s why you’re pretending you don’t have his latest tracks?) and tweeted something about them and City sending him something for Glastonbury. Good to see the City being represented on stage there IMHO
Honestly Den, don't have a clue about him and never been to sesh, even when I lived round the corner from it.
Conor Townsend was in my class at school. I can barely ever remember him playing football cos he was always in City's academy and I think they restricted him playing for the school or anything. Only footballing memory of him is one game on the school field where he was accused of diving, and it was said that being in a pro academy he was taught to do it. He was a proper City fan, unlike the vast majority of kids our age at that time. I didn't know how good he was at the time but as it turned out he was the only one of his age group to make it pro.
Same at my school. I think I was one of 5 kids in my entire year group at secondary school who supported City. Everyone else was a diehard Rervers or Eff Cee fan but ‘supported’ Liverpool, Man Utd or Leeds for football. From what I hear, both Lewis-Potter and his brother Marley are big City fans. I think Greaves and Fleming are too. Not so sure about Coyle. I actually think he supported Leeds growing up. Briefly lived on the same street as his dad (RIP) and Rocco in Bilton years ago. They had Leeds shirts framed in their house.
That doesn't surprise me hugely. He does seem to have overcome that condition in more recent times though thankfully. Thinking about it, we didn't really have rugby fans in my school. There was one serious FC fan, don't remember any rovers. It was mostly Liverpool, Man United and Leeds.
