He would be entitled to an Irish passport through his mother, but his place of birth on the document claimed Ireland, that has to be a false declaration surely, which would see any authorisation to enter Canada revoked. I truly don't know, but what is undeniable is this - both of his parents are from the Irish Republic. I have no problem whatsoever with that, but I have a problem when he and others denigrate the third and fourth-generation descendants of immigrants because they can never be integrated due to the colour of their skin. Yeah my view on Begum has never wavered, I think it was wrong to revoke her citizenship, she's our problem and we need to deal with it. I guess the powers that be and many people would disagree with me, but I don't think you should be making anyone stateless regardless of their crime.
