Also, we had a pure goal-poacher in Estupiñán. He scored some crucial goals but there were extended periods when he didn’t do anything of note. Even Haaland, the best finisher in world football right now, has come under fire from pundits because he can be anonymous in big games if he isn’t scoring. There have been games when even he has fewer than 10 touches a game with no goals or assists. I don’t think Estupiñán will play another game for City and at this point, I don’t really want him back. If not Delap, then I’d rather have someone like Celar or Glatzel at HSV who is more dynamic and offers more than just scoring goals.
Sky Sports News reporting Everton interest in Philogene, speculating 16m as the figure. Hopefully the beginning of a bidding war as I'm hoping for a fair bit more. I'll be sorry to see him go, not often you get to witness a player do some of the things he's capable of.
Maybe a joint deal him & Greaves for 30 mill?? However, aren’t Everton skint in the midst of a takeover collapse. Can’t see it happening….
Another bidder now has exclusivity. And they're selling one of their own for big money this window as well.
oh ok…I thought they were really struggling….didnt they get a points deduction for financial issues??
No way that a club on the verge of collapse if no investor comes forward can sign anyone...let Alone a 16 mill player
They're £792m in debt, which is quite skint, though as you say they're potentially getting a big fee for Branthwaite (though Man United are currently refusing to meet their valuation).
£20 million each + add-ons and sell-on clauses for Greaves and Philogene wouldn’t be bad business at all.
