Scary what I'm reading about French election. Marine Le Pen's hand puppet in the lead to become next PM. I would say surely France won't be so stupid... but America elected Trump (and may be about to again) and England elected Boris and voted for Brexit. People take democracy for granted these days. Looks like we're due a repeat of the 1930's/40's in the West.

The problem in France is that the left abandoned the centre ground years ago, leaving a vacuum for Macron to fill; but he’s so out of favour now that literally the whole of France despises him. He’s known as the President of the rich, and he can’t shake that label off.

Meanwhile, stage right, RN are waiting in the wings to capitalise on all that discontent.

I suspect a lot of people in their eighties are going that way, you would think they would care more about the NHS than migration at their age.

Marine Le Pen has aged 20 years in the last decade. She looks so old now seeing pictures of her.

Funnily I saw her on the news earlier and thought similar. Hagged is the word that springs to mind, in the detrimental sense.

I want too, I have done previously but it was with the help of my Grandfather who sadly passed away recently so now it's just too much of a ballache. I used to vote by proxy, he would tootle down to the booth and post it himself with his, but my Nan is barely mobile these days and she does a postal vote.

My constituency is 70% Labour so, I am sure my vote would have went bloody far.

I could fix it I suppose, perhaps in 2 years when the Labour government collapses I can vote for good ol' Nige.
