I think so too. Never normally buy one. But can see me and the boyo getting one. Hopefully sponsor free edition.
Just been looking at the close ups on insta - the ship from the old badge is woven into the fabric. What a class touch that is! Also the GK tops are inspired by the Tony Norman era of GK tops. SAFC could be raking it in this summer!
The details are ridiculous. Can't believe how far it is from the crap stock standard stuff the other manufacturers gave us.
Have we ever had a shirt so tailored to our club, our city? The ship in the stripes, from the banks of the river wear and the co-ordinates are all excellent. We have had a stock kit for years but this is well above the details you would expect on an average non-stock kit. This is the levels of the top teams in the world and what they get out of their kit sponsors/manufacturers.
You mean the one which is the same as the mags new shirt only in red? Absolutely love the new shirt. Going to miss the photo of reg in it in his garden. It was an annual thing. Bless him. Hope he’s got one on order, sure they can deliver it up there
I get the impression when the marketing asked for volunteers to model the shirt, Pierre Ekwah had his hand up before they finished their sentence
Keeper kit is class too. As are the tracksuits they're launching with the home kit, which are different (and better) than the ones they launched last week.
I think badges embroidered straight on to the shirts are just too expensive for them to produce now. Most manufacturers are moving towards woven patches or rubberised applications. Our badge is too complicated for the rubberised application I believe. The woven patch is far better than the heat applied badges on the Nike shirts.
Absolutely love it, oozes class and quality. The attention to detail really sets it apart from the ****e we had before. That's what a "bespoke" shirt looks like. Hope the club get a lot of praise for this, they really have come up trumps here.
Kit looks great. You would think that as a man nearing 60 I would’ve grown out of buying such things, but…. Watching that video though, the Gary Bennett scene took me straight back to RP that night. Stood in the Roker End so didn’t get a great view, but still, I can say “I was there”.
I get to maybe two games a year and I'm still considering buying the home shirt, the away shirt, the third shirt, at least one of the keeper shirts, that red tracksuit I think theyre going to release tomorrow, to all go with the gilet already bought.
And therein lies the genius. this launch isn’t aimed at just kids, it’s not aimed at just olduns. It’s aimed at us all and exactly how it should be. for perspective I’m 46
