But who has an opening and who will pay? If spurs wanted a keeper I'd expect a deadline day deal. But if forest or palace want a keeper they will low ball and just won't come up. Newcastle wouldn't pay it imo.
We've been really fortunate to have such a good backup for Becker. Few teams have nearly as good backup available.
Even fewer have 3 others that nobody knows about. There's been a concerted effort over time here to develope keepers for sale. Kelleher will be the first sale. It's just I don't see the buying club right now so it'd.be a shame for him to wind up parked at a mid table club but honestly I don't see him.doing any more.
Bayern Dortmund Red Bull Leverkusen Juve Inter Milan Napoli Madrid Barca Atletico Psg Prob a hell of a lot more as well. Have a look once window closes how many teams have spent £35m and it’ll be massive.
Are any of those sniffing about? Yes many of them will spend 35mil but not 35 on a keeper. Didn't Chelsea put down 25 of sanchez? Thet level of stupid is hard to find imo. They'll buy a midfielder or forward for big money but 35 is a lot for a keeper.
Alisson becker is alisson becker. You pay for pure class. Nobody is going to put kelleher anywhere near alisson in pure talent
No, but then we're not talking about anywhere near the same fee. I don't know what Kelleher's worth, but fees just keep going up so it wouldn't surprise me if we were to ask somewhere around £30m. I've long since abandoned any hope of seeing sanity return to football.
Is more than half. The rumour is 35 so I think that's stepp. It's not about the fee as much as whobwill want him as I don't see big clubs coming in
A reasonable comparison seems to be Trafford, who went from Citeh to Burnley for £15m rising to £19m with add ons. Good keeper. But Kelleher has Prem. experience (Trafford didn't when signed by Burnley) and Kell has a couple of League cups aswell. I would think we could ask £30m everything considered.
Yeah i know that but you have to look at it from a prospective buyers angle. Let me say first, i think he's an excellet keeper and i would probably bite your hand off with the option of replacing Onana with him (though Onana has shown good signs lately). What i am pointing out is that from a buyers point of view he's a back up keeper/No2. Yes he's played in a lot of cup games and done great credit to himself when covering injury to Alisson but if you are paying money for him you are still buying a second choice even if he's 10 times better than your own first. In short, teams will be loathed to pay top price for a bench player regardless of how good he obviously is. That said, if the right club really want him they probably will cough up, it's a game that clubs/businesses play.
