Maybe it’s all about the positive influence in the dressing room?

    Sorry.

Philogene is not our winger, he’s just a guy who thinks that Spain is the one, but the kid would sure be fun

Within the tweet someone has suggested its a 2 year deal with a option of a 3rd. I like this signing, Smart business.

Read a few days ago he wanted to go back to Leeds when his deal was up to replace Firpo who is meant to be off. Report said he wanted to stay in the north and be close to family (he came through Leeds academy as well I believe)

If it’s true. Another very meh signing, decent experience and I’m sure solid enough for a team trying to finish 17th but not anything to get excited about

For a couple of seasons, I'm very happy to accept a meh player capable of staving off relegation.

We aren't going to be building a team of wow signings. This just allows us possibly to keep hold of KWP and/or bring in 1 or two of those wow signings.

Im fine with the same strategy as before, signing highly rated 10 year olds and if we get relegated that so be it. Adds some excitement at least as they are unknowns who could be a Lavia/Livramento or might be not ready for the first team.

Signing poor PL players in their 30’s doesn’t really get the excitement going in the same way

Also, if we go down again, we are going to have a team of guys in their 30s on PL wages with absolutely no resale value. Imagine that financial rules are the reason we're chasing so many frees rather than a choice...need to spend most of our budget simply keeping our loanees from this past season.

Too early to know for sure. With players out of contract in a few days then these deals may need to happen first to stop them signing elsewhere. Then the money signings will happen later.

You could be right though and all our money will go on THB and Downes staying permanently, in which case we are in for a huge challenge to stay up

I also think half (at least) of these rumours are utter bollocks.

Yeah who knows with the amount of **** around nowadays. For the out of contract players you’d think if anything is agreed they’d be announced on Monday (when their contracts expire) so not long to wait.

Charlie Taylor, Decordova-Reid, Cedric and Ghoddos quad announcement Monday morning incoming

The Charlie Taylor type players are absolutely what's needed.

I get that it's nothing to be excited about but equally having experienced players about who have played 5 seasons in the PL is exactly what was lacking last time around.

Sometimes you need players like Ryan Fraser as opposed to Edozie or Sulemana. It can't be always about ceiling.

It's still pretty raw for me that we tried to go all out on talented youngsters without really adding that experience around them and so I'd be very very comfortable with the right mix of solid experience and exciting talent battling it out between them.

Doesn’t seem to fit Russell Martin’s style at all. More of a Nathan Jones player

Kind of get what you mean, but doubt he would've played 71 games for Vincent Kompany if he wasn't capable.
