No I generally dont watch international football very much.
I am a fairweather England fan at best. But I just understand why fans dont like their team being ****, its generally accepted that you want the team you support to play well

 

yes, I'm far more interested in winning than having my back patted and being told 'well done, you tried.

 

yet, you gave an example earlier where you were enthralled, but we got knocked out, but because we played well, you were happy....even though we got knocked out I can see what Gareth is doing wrong now, he topped the group and went through, sadly Gareth don't have dodgy Russian Rubels to win trophies for you.

 

I get enthralled in good football, regardless of who is playing, I enjoy watching football.
I was enthralled when Ronaldinho scored his toe poke against Chelsea in the CL back in 2005, and that was against my own team.

 

Yep, a decision made on the back of a similar level of fan entitlement, decades of being **** and after a couple of good seasons it's "we should be Europe every season." Though in his last half season we conceded 5 v Fulham & Palace and 6 v Arsenal, those sealed his fate.
Pretty sure I've said many times I disagreed with it.

No because unlike most people, I actually watched the games and saw how awesome we were.
Instead of being salty and just labelling Chelsea as crap because it was a way to be dismissive instead of coping with your trauma.

 

lol, trauma? I'm not the one on here pulling out my hair, gnashing my teeth and wringing my hands because England didn't qualify at the top of their group in a style I found acceptable.

Style doesn't bother me much with England tbh, probably cos I don't invest time and money in it.

Arguably the most important thing for me when it comes to Saints though, for the exact opposite reason.

I really wouldnt care all that much if England had been knocked out. Like I said, I generally watch England with half hearted support.
Usually during international breaks I am more pissed that it has interrupted the PL schedule
