Not wanting millions of people who can't or won't integrate into our existing culture and society isn't racist, it's just sensible. Everyone else's culture is apparently sacred, but ours isn't for some reason. It started off as a bit of a joke, but the phrase 'import the third world, get the third world' is getting more true by the year.
If he was in the country illegally then surely he would have been deported back to the UK on the next available flight? The Sky News article I read says that he had been detained on an outstanding immigration warrant. He has now been released but had his passport seized by Canadian authorities and been told he can’t leave Calgary. To be honest this strikes me as more of a political move to prevent Robinson from speaking at pre-planned organised events.
To be fair he does have quite a history of court appearances, serving time and disrespecting the law.
To be fair, his politics stink, but by canceling him, which is what I think the Canadians are doing here is playing into his hands. It’s a micro version of Trump. The Democrats are doing everything they can to stop him from getting re-elected but it’s not going to work imo.
If he doesn't have a visa he can't be there tbf, same rules for everyone ... ... I sometimes watch that Border Force programme and they're pretty strict.
Yeah you don't get into Canada unless all your paperwork is in order. I've passed through Border Control in Canada more times that I care to remember and it's very strict
I don't like to judge anyone without knowing at least a few facts and I knew little about him. What I've found so far is that this meeting in Calgary, population of 1.5 million, was for around 100 people so hardly any threat to Canada ... he previously pleaded guilty, and was sentenced, to using a mate’s passport to go to the US ... he uses two totally different names for some weird reason and has banked around £2 million off the back of his views. He aligned himself with Farage last week, both worked for/with UKIP. Tommy Robinson - “Nigel Farage is winning over the people and he’s putting across our arguments to the nation very skillfully and in a great way. There is only one option at this election and that is Reform UK." Sounds like a wrong 'un tbf.
Tommy Robinson is the guy who has been up to Sunderland a few times. A few of the lads up here are in with him now apparently. He was there when that Celtic fan was knocked out with a baseball bat.
Labour has suspended a party member after being notified of their arrest in connection with the Westminster "honeytrap" scandal, the BBC understands. Police arrested a man in his mid-20s on suspicion of harassment and offences under the Online Safety Act in London on Wednesday. Multiple alleged victims were informed by the Metropolitan Police shortly afterwards. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cpvv3lq79dro
There's a few polls about but this one has Reform with 19 seats atm. Electoral Calculus General Election Prediction (electoralcalculus.co.uk)
They’ve got 1 that’s looking guaranteed and genuinely fighting for another 6 or 7. I think they’ll win 2 or 3. No chance they’ll even get to double figures.
So reading the BBC fact check and its more in favour of Starmer than bullshit Rishi. BBC News - Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer's BBC debate claims fact-checked - BBC News https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c2xx0x20p2lo I really think Starmer missed a trick by not playing Sunak at his own game with the surrendering slogan he kept using to beat him with.
