Ian Wright made a good point last night - one I had either forgotten or wasn't aware of - Saka started off as a left back / left wing back at Arsenal ...

It's a no brainer ... immediate balance down the left hand side rather than 'Turn-back Trippier' - would then allow for either Gordon, Bowen or Eze to start wide right and Foden and Saka as a left sided partnership should create chances ...

One of the world’s best wingers would have an absolute field day against a bloke who anyone would only consider playing there because he played there as a kid several years ago. No serious manager would do it in a back four.

I can't find any record v Serbia so we have nowt to go on.

 

We just about got out of the softest group possible in 2010 but it was abysmal. Rob Green throwing one in against America and a 0-0 against Algeria worse than last night.
