Southgate grumbling about the negative reaction. He can **** off - the negative reaction is caused by your decisions. If you want a positive reaction, make positive decisions.
Lol A fair few other pundits talking about it. I'd rather see Walker and Trippier swapped than continue with the current full back setup.
Is it a tiny bunch of fans or a worrying number? Realise any number is pretty shoddy but you know what I mean. Really sad that I'm sure they love singing rule Britannia and all of that crap that proclaims are superiority but they don't realise their actions make us look inferior to nations like Slovenia.
It comes across quite loud when they do it, it’s not just a small handful or anything like that. We’ve also pissed the locals off singing about the RAF shooting down German bombers.
If I was there to support the team, I think I’d have went to the airport and gone home out of embarrassment. I felt for the Germans being interviewed about it, clearly they were hurt but kept referring back to how they know their history and have learned from it. Didn’t make for good viewing.
I find Germans to be a really agreeable people from those I've met, good humoured and self deprecating. And I don't think any country is more pleased Germany lost WWII than modern Germany Absolutely damaging to England's reputation. We will have a generation of continental Europeans who think we are all the red-faced, pot-bellied dickheads of decades ago.
Last nights game was the extra game after winning the leauge before the cup final. Some of the stuff getting spouted on the radio by so called professionals is rancid. England go hell for leather last night, key player gets injured and Southgate gets hammered, play it safe like last night, Southgate gets hammered. He can't win at the moment. Hopefully he isn't showing his hand too early as the real competition starts Sunday as that's when I believe the competition really starts
100% mate. Cant believe some of the daft comments on here. It is mind boggling. Anyway, head still pounding after last night. Out with some lads desperate for England to do well. Had a great night tbh. A lot like being with Sunderland in the away end, when we dont play well, but we still believe. Turns out one of the lads is off out for the weekend with spares due to a couple dropping out. So yours truly is off out Saturday and hoping it is the Dutch, will be a belting atmosphere. If we win, every chance I might just stay on... Haway England, competition starts now. Job done so far, now we find out who the real elite sides are. I still believe we can win it, pointless feeling otherwise unless you enjoy wallowing.
Amazing, isn't it? So many different permutations we are all suggesting. I would like to see a 442 but it's such a tough, tough ask. Kane is a fantastic false 9, no mistaking. However, he is getting so much flack for dropping too deep to recieve the ball. Foden too is getting stick even though he's not playing in his strongest same role for City. .........Even my above thoughts could be contested by you all, and that's fine too.... But surely to God though, we can utilise all of our best players in a wing-back 5 MF? ....4-5-1 ......with only Kane up top as the traditional CF/Target man. Foden is an accomplished left sided WB.....so, therefore, Bellingham can play in a centre of this 5, Foden, Rice, Bellingham, Mainoo, Saka/Palmer Ha ha ha.....there's just too many thoughts man
This would be a good move, don't know how Gomez isn't playing on the left, played half the games left back for Liverpool last year
Small minded people, nobody should boo any countries anthem, Have a bit of respect. It doesn't take much. Mind you, weren't scousers booing GSTK not so long ago
There's some good entertainment today, especially in the Belgian group imo, with all four teams on 3 points. Them and Romania could have four points and better GD than Slovakia and Ukraine with draws. But if Slovakia win1-0 it would move Belgium above Romania on GD. There's other possibilities so it'll keep the commentators on their toes.
This trend seems to have started, or at least increased, since Brexit. We're becoming 'little islanders' again with an 'everyone's against us' mentality. And the amount of decent envoys who could previously travel easily to work, study and live in Europe, has diminished. The worse we become the worse reaction we'll get in return, then we'll blame Europe as we always seem to.
If you think Southgate can magically flick a switch and get his team playing a completely different style to what we've seen since he qualified, not just the last three games then you've got a hell of a lot more faith in him than I have.
