I did say if you put money on England you will lose it, a bit like Southgate losing the dressing room, it’s ****ing obvious isn’t it?
Southgate continues to squander some of the finest talent this country has ever produced. He thinks we can we can win a tournament by trying not to lose as confirmed by Harry Kane’s post match interview. The sooner the useless **** goes the better. Even if we do win the Euro’s I want him gone. He’s a Don Revie reincarnated.
I thought Palmer was dangerous everytime he got the ball. Needs to start in the round of 16. What the heck has happended to Jude Bellingham?
He's not in a team which suits him. I wish Acun was England owner, that was one of the most boring games I've seen
Aye and ****ing Shaw who’s never ever fit! Missing Rashford big time, don’t care what anyone says, he turns up for England 99% of the time.
The magnanimity wavered at two minutes past seven. Ah, the only change, Gallagher for Alexander-Arnold. Southgate obviously not going to change the system. Half time, Mainoo on for Gallagher - I give up. Alexander-Arnold on for Trippier sort of. Walker moves to the left. It goes on and on. Serbia parked the bus. No **** Sherlock. How do you set up to play on the quick counter, when the opposition have no intention, no ambition, to even try to score? Bodies on the line, last ditch defending, worldy saves from the goalkeeper? No, a very flat, again, England. Bellingham and Foden have somehow become plodders. Rice who had a fantastic season, the same. You know what is coming. Kane. Anonymous. Crowded out by three defenders? Nah. Just simply put in his place by a bang average centre half. Again. At least he stayed somewhere within the attacking third. Though reigning in his ambition to be the left back england so desperately need was commendable. Why do we need him as a 10, we have Bellingham and Foden? Is he fast enough to play on the shoulder of the last defender. He never was, and aint going to become Usain Bolt overnight. Now we are at the penalty shoot out stage, bench him, and save his legs for that. The good bits. Guehi. Best on the pitch for England, though it is not like he was overworked. Mainoo, looked good carrying the ball forward rather just passing it back and forth. Cole Palmer, offers a bit more than Saka. And as mad as it sounds, maybe keep the back four as it was when the game ended. Gordon in front of Walker. Palmer ahead of Alexander-Arnold. Finally when your performance is described as "****". Don't respond by saying, yea well, you were a bit **** too. Do ya talking on the pitch. Talking? The silence was deafening.
These long managerial goodbyes don’t work do they, same with Klopp, as soon as a manager wants to leave any job, they get put on gardening leave, it undermines the troops when they know the boss is off, Southgate has no filter does he, he was upset by the criticism from the fans and press. He thinks he’s done a good job getting through, he doesn’t get it at all, fans want to see exciting football, we had all this with Rosenior last season, yes we did ok, but **** me did we suffer, yet both managers were hurt when fans booed. Walter ball might be crazy and dangerous but I bet we get off our seats more than once a game.
8 years he's been at it now.... people will point to a 60% win rate... against Scotland, San Marino et al....
I suspect last night was the game that will have secured the end of Southgate's reign as England manager. Despite winning the group, the initial team selection and subsequent substitutions last night, lost him whatever remaining support he had from the fans. I don't think even winning it now would keep him in place.
