Well done Slovenia. Never in trouble. England, even guaranteed to progress, still crippled by anxiety, fear and lack of intelligence.
Slovenia celebrating like they've won the World Cup 6 nil Good for them, they held the Mighty England Chapeau
Top of the group, unbeaten, only one goal conceded, it’s coming home, Nederlands must be ****ting themselves
Well, Harry Kane thought England were much better than in the first two games. And we ‘control our destiny’ by winning the group. So that’s all right then. He’s already looking forward to extra time and penalties in the next round. There’s ambition for you. But don’t criticise him, he might cry! Time to finish the bottle and have a smoke
Oh well, another total waste of 90 minutes from a team that really is so poor for the alleged quality they possess. Once again Southgate shows his lack of tactical acumen. He blindly keeps the same shape when it so obviously is ineffective. The Dutch will surely pose much greater danger on Sunday...
Only Southgate could take the Bundesliga top scorer, LaLiga Player of the Year and the Premier League Player of the Year and come up with a formation to make them all totally ineffective...
Bellingham was ****ing appalling tonight, he's either totally knackered or just had enough of Southgate (I know I have ). No width offered at all, how can Gordon not be starting or at least getting 30 mins in a gane like that. The fact that numb nuts only took 1 left back( who has been injured for the last 4 months), Says it all about Southgate . Ineptitude of the highest degree, Mitchell shouldve been nailed on in this squad, Trippier playing there just doesn't work and nothing at all comes down the left flank. Diabolical displays in the group but yet again Southgate has been gifted a dream draw. Will he make the most of his fortune ? Alas we all know the answer already !
I'm pleased you lads down there have seen it just like us up here...What a pile of utter $hite tonight...Southgate want's locking up in the Tower for going with that starting XI. There's enough forward talent down the wings to run sides ragged, but he goes for Foden wide left when he's not a wide player. As for Bellingham, he's developing the persona of a player who can't be dropped. And don't get me started on Gallagher.
Only bonus tonight is we were spared the usual shots of around a thousand morons throwing their beers in the air at Boxpark...
england passed the ball 698 times mostly backwards i think 2 england players passed the ball (probably to each other) more times than the entire slovenia team made passes
I was hoping that Denmark scored so we could get knocked out by Germany on Saturday. I really do not want to watch anymore. Group C was by far the worst group and England struggled to create chances in all three games. I counted on one hand how many times Saka or Walker took on the left back. He was on an early yellow and must have been ****ting himself.
So Palmer and Gordon bought some energy on...Mainoo too. But our superstars were sadly missing Foden, Bellingham and Kane gave us nothing The 2 CD were good ( Stones and Gheui). But is the best I can do. One thing Marti has taught us ( we knew it before). A good coach can take the worst team in the league and get it out of trouble. The opposite is also true...a bad coach can take a good bunch players and make them inept and insecure
Completely agree. Nonetheless, if Southgate somehow gets us to the last 8, there’ll likely be a knighthood in it for him before the decade is out.
Southgate does himself no favours by feigning surprise and shock at the reaction of the fans at the end. He seems to be the only person who thinks we're playing well and don't deserve the criticism. It's just weird, now. Thought the fans out there were great. Got behind the team all game even though they were having a stinker. And then let their feelings known to the manager at the end. That's exactly how it should be, no?
