Good Morning. It's Tuesday 25th June, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Archie 'definitely considering' move to Bundesliga giants

Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund have been freshly linked with Leeds starlet Archie Gray after a leaked message got printed in the German Press.

Deutsch media outlet 'Bild' revealed that the Eighteen year old's entourage had told them that Gray was 'definitely considering' a move to the Signal Iduna Park, which could leave family members horrified and fans incensed, should the move take place!

The former Academy star is contracted until 2028, having renewed his terms earlier this year. To make matters worse, the German tabloids are suggesting a maximum fee of 35 million euros (£29.5m).

"The Champions League finalist has set its sights on Archie Gray (18). The central midfielder is already being celebrated as a new child prodigy in his home country. Gray currently has a contract with Leeds until 2028 and currently has a market value of 18 million euros, and the trend is rising.

"It has now leaked out from his circle that he is considering a move to the Ruhr club to take the next step in his career. After all, he could immediately prove his skills in the premier league with the black and yellow team. However, there are different reports about the transfer fee for the highly talented player. There is talk of anything from 20 million pounds to around 35 million euros."

    Could Canadian ace replace Summerville

Canadian International Liam Millar could be on his way to Elland Road this Summer if the Whites lose the services of Crysencio Summerville!

The versatile 24yo had an outstanding campaign whilst on-loan at Preston last season; even scoring a late winner against ten men Leeds, after Meslier took Boxing Day literally! Millar joined Swiss outfit Basel from Liverpool in a £1.3m deal back in 2021, and only has twelve months left on his contract.

He netted five times and contributed as many assists for the Lilywhites last season, and was their third best player with a 'Whoscored' average of 6.90. Sheffield Utd and Burnley are also interested in his services.

Whites set to stay in the black

As their financial tax year looms, Leeds look set to stay within the confines of Financial Fair Play, thanks mainly to the sales of Luis Sinisterra and Tyler Adams.

The Whites are permitted to show losses of up to £83m over their last three year cycle to stay on the right side of profit and sustainability (£35m (x2) for both seasons in the top flight, and £13m for our last campaign in the Championship).

Pre tax losses of £37.6m (21/22) and £33.7m (22/23) have seen Leeds sail precariously close to their rolling £70m limit, leaving them a buffer of £12.6m to take care of debts from last season! Thankfully, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the £40m raised from Bournemouth for the services of Messrs Sinisterra and Adams should mean that Leeds will stay on the right side of FFP without an emergency fire sale before the end of the month.

    Good morning all

Summerville when you look at pure stats of goals and assists is going to be hard to replace. Summerville as in performance, grafting, tackling, pressing and being less one dimensional will be easier to replace. I have no idea if Miller is the right replacement, I can't remember him against us if I am being totally honest.

Gray at £30m with a huge sell on would be good business, the danger is he could let his contract run down and leave Dortmund on a free.

Gnonto, Summerville and Gray all sold - That's not so good

For me it has to be Willie and Summerville sold along with raising some money from the loans and fringe players. Sell the three of them and bring in some useful signings and we'll see

I did hear that Farke is wishing to talk to Wober with a view to accepting him back, head says good move, heart says no

We should listen to the Rt Honourable Moderator, and he raises a very good question. Are we automatically going to be weaker next season if Summerville goes because his stats are highly unlikely to be replicated by whoever we bring in....

Summerville will have his path to goal blocked this season. Sides will know he is one dimensional so let's sell him. You can't keep them all at any level. Bit of a rebuild needed especially in midfield and centre back. Ampadu in midfield would offer more than kamara and gruev but both will do to use when needed. We need defenders desperately build from the back like jack Charlton stated was the way.

    Good morrow all

I've got to agree with RT Honourable Ristac the loss of Summerville, Gray and Gnonto would be a massive loss but it's probably £100 million in the bank if we hit our stupid valuations. In this division you can fund a half decent summer spending spree and have some change,

Summerville and Gnonto replaced with MacClean and Millar will definitely make us weaker in those positions, Miller was excellent at home to us,poor at ER, apparently he played more like the Er game most of the season.

Morning All. If Gray decides to run down his contract to join Dortmund on a free then he will be here until 2028 iif Ell’s opening post is correct. Gnonto & Summerville I think definitely won’t be here next season.

I think Ristac meant that after joining Dortmund, if he ran his contract down and left on a free, then any sell on clause that we have is worth bugger all.

Keep Gnonto sell Summerville offer is 35 to 40 And if Archie wants to go another 35m already below the 80m fig with the ones sold so far And with thoes 2 sold it gives a 70 to 80 mill spend not bad for the championship

Just as a matter of interest how reliable are these figures of money we need to recoup. I don't bother reading most articles as it's boring as hell. To my way of thinking we have 40m in sales to include in this years accounts. We also had about 10m payoffs to sacked managers in previous year and have reduced our wage bill hugely. Players that stayed took minimum of 40% cuts and the rats disappeared off the wage bill completely. Anyway well know in less than a week as our financial year ends then

Family members horrified... fans incenced?? Very dramatic and probably the latter is true but family?? I doubt it. If Archie has some wise heads around him and he really is ambitious to reach the very top, likely the wise advice would be, you probably won't have a better option than Dortmund. Bellingham is a Birmingham lad but I can't think he would view swapping his German Cup Winners medal with Dortmund, transfer to Real Madrid, Spanish Super Cup, La Liga or Champions League medals and being a shoe in for his country at 20 years old as a bad alternative to remaining loyal to his boyhood team. Similarly (albeit to a lesser extent) Sancho.

I was pondering Summerville to Brighton last week and, apart from the obvious resentment because they were mean to us over Ben White and thought, do you know what, as a player, it is probably a really good move. He will likely get plenty of game time in a team that should be easily comfortable in the Premier League and, if he shines, they won't stand in his way of moving further "up" the ladder if the opportunity comes and they can turn a sizeable profit. Think Cucarella, Trossard, Caicedo, Mac Allister etc.

Both of the above I am thinking of from the Players' point of view rather than a fan who thinks anyone who pulls on a Leeds shirt should stay with the club forever (or rather, until we don't want them any more <laugh>). Of course, people point to the Philips to Man City transfer as why players should be careful what they wish for (understandable and not wrong). Kalvin's biggest problem was, he went for the massive leap first time and it didn't work.

Part of what got me pondering this was I noticed last week Spurs had decided not to offer Ryan Sessegnon a further 12 month contract extension (which they had the right to do when his latest deal came to an end and would have guaranteed a transfer fee if they chose to sell him), so he is now a free agent looking for a new club. Sessegnon was the hottest property in the Championship a few years ago, got his "dream" move from Fulham. Sure he has played a bit in the Premier League but never won anything or got an international call up. This got me thinking (not really as an anti Spurs thing, just that it highlights how important the choice of where to move for the youngsters that want to get on) Jack Clarke was also one of the hottest properties in the Championship but has had to rebuild his career after moving to Spurs with a loan at QPR and then a move to Sunderland. He may make it back into the Premier League with a move this summer but I bet it won't be to one of the elite teams (and, I'll bet those around him urge him to think long and hard about where is the right place to go). Joe Rodon, probably the best Centre Half in the Championship apart from Ben White a few short years ago also looking to leave Spurs for, probably a lower / mid end Premier League team and, of course, the self destructing Djed Spence. Again, elite in the Championship just a few years ago now looking for a transfer to one of the European Leagues (he may have already moved, I have as much interest in him as he had in playing for us). That is a lot of talent one PL team has invested in and seen it go backwards.

So, no, I wouldn't think Archies' nearest and dearest will be strongly advising him against Dortmund or Summervilles with Brighton. Of course, us fans hate us losing our best players but, in the real world..... I would be sad if both go but, the really important thing is getting top dollar and reinvesting it wisely, exactly as Brighton and Dortmund do.

We also don’t know the size of the stake RB bought and / or how much we’re getting for the shirt sponsorship.

Not a link but I think the away shirt in all yellow with the smiley would look good. Any thoughts?

An all white home kit, yellow away kit and a all blue 3rd with the current badge would be good. But a smiley badge? Are we a ****ing kindergarden or are we a professional football club?
