Busy summer then.
I don't have many names that jump to mind tbh, i watch more European football now so a lot of the suggestions are players with no experience in British football. For the club i scout for its so expensive to sign british players since brexit so my focus is on foreign leagues There wont be many that fit that criteria as if they score 10 plus goals the value spikes so quickly in british football Theo bair has the physicality but movement is pretty poor in the box n he doesnt really score many Gelhardt is a player i like but too short going by your list - plus hasnt scored many in senior football Max dean done well last season and is a player i liked from his time at Leeds I would prefer someone like Daniel Fila (slavia prague), Deion Beljo (higher than price range but a could be a loan from Ausgburg) or louis Munteanu (fiorentina)
5 goal contributions in 14 appearances for Ipswich and I think only two of those were starts. All of that aside, our strikers had about 3 goals between them last season, I'd take a 10-15 a season man right now and it'd be a huge improvement.
It’s a big squad with not enough quality I feel. We need to be harsh with some and get rid, simply not good enough. Experience required.
UEFA coefficient rankings, wondering outside of the top-8 leagues, how much talent can be got for cheap that is Championship ready or very close to championship ready, by cheap I guess I mean around a million pounds. Sorry if it feels like the inquisition. please log in to view this image
I agree we need to be ruthless and there's no room for sentimentality. Would like experienced players in at CB, CDM and a striker. Less experienced 2nd striker plus replacements for any of our big guns that we lose. Sell: Bass, Bishop, Benette, Matete, Anderson, Embleton and Roberts (if bid comes in for 2.5M +) Loan: Hemir, Mayenda, Triantis, Watson and Kelly
Just as a quick update been speaking to my nephew who was out for a beer with CR dad at the weekend and he said his dad never mentioned anything about Chris going to any other clubs and last he heard was that he wanted to stay. Good news I hope.
Sooner this is sorted the better, he could play a pivotal role this season, he's clearly capable of competing at this level right now.
What’s our best team with the current squad? I’d probably go with this but I’d love a new CDM starting with AA dropping out to form more of a 4-3-3. Those in bold I’d like to see better signed for the starting XI Patterson Hume - Ballard - Alese - Cirkin Neil - Rigg Roberts - Aouchiche - Clarke Jobe
Id put a fully fit and firing Huggins ahead of Hume, and that is extremely harsh on Trai who has been excellent
Big call that one. We’ve got some very good championship full backs, it’s just a real shame about Cirkin and Huggins’ injury records…
Relieved he’s not coming here to be honest, been playing in the 4th tier in Spain and is 22 we need to be aiming higher than that he’ll probably score 25 goals and move for £10m now
Problem with Cirkin is he struggles to stay fit for more than a month, shame because he’s an excellent full back.
That’s exactly it. Huge year for the lad. He wouldn’t have been here now if he had stayed fit from when he signed imo. Quality player
