My wife’s pretentious friend refers to Muse as, ‘ music for intelligent people’.

I refer to Muse as, ‘music for ****s with little or no taste’.

If you’re wondering why Carmine has up’d the usage of the C bomb recently?

Well I’m currently revisiting the works of Irvine Welsh, ‘ nuff said.

My favourite thread name on another Hull City board of the past was “They’re ****s in music, caught in a trap”. :)

Might get lynched for this but I feel that 80% of Beatles songs are guff. I feel they are more important culturally than their music is good.
Don’t get me wrong, some brilliant tracks like Come Together or Paperback Writer sound great but so much of what they put out was ****.
The Who, Faces, Kinks are much better.

Cortez the Killer is possibly the best ‘rock song’ ever. I was lucky enough to see Neil and Crazy Horse play it at Hammy Odeon March 31 1976 - three encores, the last after the lights had already gone up and a few of us wouldn’t go home.

Good bands (Faces) aside but don’t even come close to the Beatles.
Buy and have listened to thousands of albums they are the best band ever the level consistency is unmatched.

yeah I get what you mean but for me it’s like each album has a couple of stand out tracks and the rest are just there.

the Beatles were/are a phenomenon and changed music in many ways but it just feels like the best music they created was everyone else's.

For what it’s worth, I don’t know anyone that agrees with me on this so it must just be me:emoticon-0102-bigsm

You're not alone, I'm not a big fan either. You can throw the Stones into that list of those who were better an'arll.

The Rolling Stones1968-1972 (Beggars Banquet to Exile) made brilliant albums.

You’re not alone plenty of music fans don’t like them.
My favourite artist of all time is Neil Young and my Mrs can’t stand his voice.

Sticky Fingers (1971) is one of my all time favourite albums, but I always start it after the first track, Brown Sugar, because that’s ****.

No, I agree with you. Odd decent song but the rest does not impress me.
