Lol how dare you call me Scottish. I don't think Gilmore has kicked on, after he first broke through at Chelsea. There is too many sideways and backwards passing from him so far tonight. Problem for Scotland is they have no pace
I think Hungary have been rattled right from the start every time Scotland get at them. Neither team have particularly looked like scoring mind. Both teams need to win. Second half should be exciting.
Pretty average game this. For me anyway. One thing I would say, and is a complete bit of nonsense, but I think the ref is great. I have a love of South American refs, they always seem to have complete control and take no ****. Always telling people to calm down, he is in charge.
This is shocking from Scotland. Have they done ANY in possession pattern work? They look lost with the ball, just side to side and then backwards. Asking McGinn and McTominay to receive the ball in the half spaces high up the field is just plain stupidity. Who are the creative players? Where are the runners?
Scotland lack pace in the team. Makes all the difference at this level. This Callum Styles guy looks decent as the game goes on.
I was going to post I think Moyes is talking sense. Shearer genuinely has no idea on tactics, formations or nuance. Great player does not make a great pundit. The lass in the studio far more knowledgeable. Oh, Moyes looking relaxed and happy. Maybe another top job left for him. Despite his time with us, he remains elite level coach. Met him a couple of times at coaching master classes. Liked him, even after his time with us. He was sold a dud I suspect.
That was quite funny with Gabby, Shearer and her hubby on screen. Shearer saying they need to 'open up'
Moyes might well have been sold a dud but he was unprofessional and downed tools straightaway. His heart was never in it up here.
Weve missed a ball carrier for years now, someone that drags extra defenders to them - hopefully ben doak will be that in the future or if mebude kicks on We have so many 'water carriers' who will cover every blade of grass but need more quality
Big Steve Evans is on the sidelines for Scotland somewhere surely, with Ainsworth offering 'support' from the director box?
