it's the principle of how academy sales are accounted for Vs incoming I'm referring to. we've got FFP limitations so while we'll fight for as good a figure as we can get, sadly, he's gone. and good luck to him.
Was just about to link that tweet on here. Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if he left too but it’s who the replacements would be that I’m more concerned with. If we’re replacing Tufan and Seri with Zajc and Norwood, it doesn’t fill me with much confidence. Like selling a dependable car you’ve had for a while and getting an older one with more miles on the clock that costs the same or more and isn’t even better than the car you just sold.
Seri I really half expect/expected...he won't have the legs for what appears to be WT set up and approach. If we can get a fee, fantastic...
exactly…tbh I expected him to be the first departure….changing of the guard….i wonder if Acun expected this level of overhaul when he sacked Liam ?? Too late now….
Not a player to build a midfield around. Zero point getting rid of Seri to replace him with Norwood. It’s incredibly short-sighted which has been the theme of Acun’s transfer policy since he took over and it’s what has left us in the predicament we’re in now. For ****’s sake, there were talks of Sonny Bradley coming last summer and people said that would’ve been a good signing because of his ‘experience’. He had to drop down to League One Derby and was even in and out of the side there.
Billy Sharp scored a goal every other game for LA Galaxy and played 38 games for Sheffield United the season they went up. What’s your point?
Again, that isn't the case, he hasn't even signed, we're just interested. If he were to come in, it would be as a rotation/cover option, not as first choice.
That he's a free transfer 33 year old and no club builds their team around a player like that unless they're world class, which Norwood isn't. Generally you build a team around your best player. He wouldn't be our best player as long as Philogene and Greaves are here.
