I can’t remember who posted it, but someone said something along the lines of ‘KLD is devastated and annoyed about how last season went and he wants to make changes and have a go’.
Not personally mate. I asked earlier on a group with a couple of coaches in French academies. One responded to say Le Bris has two deputies, which I assume are these two. He said they work together on everything and one has been with Le Bris way before his time at Lorient. He is supposed to be a real detail man, very precise and every training session / analysis session planned in great detail. To be honest this last bit is most coaches these days, they are obsessed with micro level detail in terms of planning and preparation.
But…but …everyone turned us down because Speakman was insisting Dodds would be assistant coach because they’re Bessie mates
Be interesting to see what that will mean for current coaches, if RLB is coming with 3 coaches then will any of ours move on?
According to Transfermarkt, Reggie had four 'assistants' at Lorient. It's possible that there will be places for the existing coaches. Given Dodd's reputation and his knowledge of the players, it would be daft to get rid of him if he wants to stay and Reggie wants to work with him.
I’m curious as to what they do. It sounds like one leads on fitness / conditioning and one psychological preparation. It’s possible that ours are as highly rated, maybe with a slightly different strength or specialism and I also think knowing the players and language is a positive and may be seen as a benefit not a hindrance as described. Equally glad they aren’t likely to be as closely involved in game planning as I think they struggled with that aspect with maybe one exception.
Agree with that mate, hopefully they all work well together and bring on the talented young lads we have.
I think Dodds is staying mate. He is too good to throw away and the club realise that. You cant have too many coaches in reality, so long as it as one voice situation. Dodds will have to get on board with Le Bris, but he will do so readily enough. Continental coaches dont coach differently to british coaches, inspite of what some may believe.
An interview with le Postec when he made the step up to the Lorient 1st team https://www.fclorient.bzh/erwann-le-postec-avec-regis-on-a-une-philosophie-commune/ And one with Jean-Marie David from the same time https://www.fclorient.bzh/jean-marie-david-du-terrain-au-staff-de-ligue-1/
Good reads them, thank you. It sounds to me like both, and Goetze, will be good additions to the coaching setup.
Thats who i meant Nat Phillips.....him & Moore i think we would potentially be pushing for automatic promotion
Great reads mate. This sounds like a real overhaul of our whole mentality behind the scenes Patience needed but exciting times ahead of it comes off
It’s going to take quite some managing to avoid ending up with an ‘us and them’ situation/mentality mind. I’m sure everyone is aware of the risk though and will be doing their best to mitigate it.
