Gonna be serious here but I know some pretty tough people who were pretty traumatised by their catholic upbringing (beatings) Gave me proper food for thought learning how horrible it was.
English Championship football will be quite different imo ... ... I'm just looking forward to the stats starting in August.
I knew there was more. Not a fan of Houlliers Liverpool, and Tigana left abruptly from what I can remember
Won’t affect my support for the lad in the slightest, in fact my mindset is such that I’m more likely to find positives in it, but there’s loads out there from the first season and I’d love to get a fuller picture and consider how it’s all going to translate to Sunderland and the players we have here. Aye, I know, ‘just be patient and wait and see’, easier said than done!!
https://youtube.com/shorts/Jf-0DFusLb4?si=Mxtrjl470sKpVyhE All that anxiety about Still's badges. Little did we know the answer all along was to start a national campaign 'to tell the EFL to get to ****...there's no ones safety at risk here!"
I'm going to go out a limb here but I think that we will get 2 or 3 players in that will give RLB better options than other recent coaches. Yeah, optimist, I know
“I am honoured to be joining Sunderland AFC and look forward to immersing myself in the culture of the Club and the city,” Le Bris said. “I believe the best way to understand and appreciate what makes a Club unique is to connect with the people who embody its spirit - the supporters, the community and all those who contribute to its character." "All coaches talk about their enthusiasm and vision when they start a new role. I'm certainly here to pass on my energy and my convictions, but also to listen and learn. The history of this Club is very strong, and this is a unique opportunity to be part of that legacy. "I recognise the potential of our team, a group that has seen both successes and more difficult times. Our journey together has only just begun, and I am ambitious about what we can achieve. I want us to bring joy to our fans, not only through results, but also through our style of play, and I'm convinced that with commitment and hard work, we can write an exciting new chapter."
I think his comments are fantastic. Very good outlook. Let's hope it works. He's got my support, as does KLD who also was spot on with his statement
Glad it’s finally done. Have reservations but cautiously optimistic he is a good fit for us. Right so what else do we have to talk **** about for 1400 pages??
Is he missing the start of preseason? Says he joins on the 1st july. Aren’t they due back this week or have I made that up
Club said ages ago that pre season started in late June but it's very possible that pre season now starts 1st July. Also could just be when his contract is registered for.
It said end of June when the season ended but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve pushed it back to next week.
Glad it's all over, hopefully we can all move on now. Hopefully the right questions will be asked in the right way to solve the angst amongst some of us. Le bris seems a decent fit, especially if he has us like he had Lorient in the first year. Think he fell out with the board half way through his first year and it went to **** from there. We need someone to fit us, whether they've been relegated or sacked, it doesnt really matter. At the end of the day at least one of those happens to the majority of managers. I think we'll have a good go this year. Fix the issues and we'll be fine. We've got good players that need direction and there's no reason why we can't be up there.
If he doesn't go and we don't sell one of our star players, how much money will we have to strengthen the squad? We have to start to sell our players sometime in order to progress. So, if it isn't Clarke, who is it going to be?
