If Le Bris does resign today from Lorient, I don’t think an announcement with us is far behind at all. Can’t see him resigning from there without the work permit issue being sorted. Otherwise he’d just stay and take the sack (and pay off).
It’s from the same people that brought you that Maric was done, Willock on a free was done, Speakman was gone to Lyon and that KLD has taken out a £20m loan secured on the stadium. I’ll let you choose whether or not you believe it.
Tin hat on again, they were the worst team in Ligue 1 for both attacking and defending set pieces. 1 goal for, 14 against
Troubling how much stuff slips past the bullshit detector and just becomes the accepted version of events.
Le Bris is a tough one, poor season last yr for sure - poor recruitment really impacted him (where have we heard that before???) But the season before he was really good, played some cracking stuff and had a young exciting team I do have concerns if it is him but im hoping his 1st season is more like what he is as a manager rather than his 2nd season Im sure he would have learned a lot from last season He will have my full backing, and it def doesnt feel the same as to when Beale was appointed- i was so deflated with that appointment
Part of me thinks a really top coach gets a tune out of whatever hand they are dealt, look at what Rohl did with Wednesday’s poor squad for example, and therefore the poor recruitment excuse doesn’t really wash with me. But equally there’s the likes of Xabi Alonso and other examples, too numerous to mention, where coaches have ‘failed’ somewhere because of some underlying factors but it clearly doesn’t detract from the fact they’re really good head coaches that will go on to be a success elsewhere. If you can identify that kind of person when they’re at rock bottom then you’re laughing.
Proper base level stuff but despite being relegated, Lorient under Le Gris scored more goals than Will Still’s Reims or Farioli’s Nice (we’ll ignore the number of goals they conceded!).
There's also the potential that his first season was a hangover from the previous Head Coach and the second season is more him. If it is him he'll get my full backing though.
I don't think we'll ever be laughing....we're doomed to a lifetime of massive frustration and ultimate misery.
Not sure like, that coventry game was rotten where I sit, it had never felt so hostile in a long time.
