Id take trent off for Gordon, he can keep width on the left, drop bellingham deeper alongside rice n foden as the 10. Foden looks like hes the England player thats up for it tonight

I agree with what @Prehab26 said about Kane, obviously a world class forward but he isnt complimenting any of the other players at all

I don’t think he deserves that Monty but if you’re up for it…

It doesn’t matter who you replace/bring on when the system /coach is the problem.

I'd have Foden playing the 10 role and have Bellingham and Rice in cm with one sitting and the other giving the licence to break forward

Same old pattern really, just disappointing given the talent in the team and squad

The players def need to take the blame as well, its a collective but its now a common theme under Southgate when England take the lead they dont seem to keep the pressure on

Theres been no patterns of play in possession in that 1st half, England have the players to play 1 touch stuff at pace but dont do it

I get the feeling the younger players feel restricted by having to play the game around the captain ...

... it reminds me of how players try to line a goal up for a player having a testimonial.

Fell top is right about the players, not blameless at all but this scream tactical to me. No balance at all and barely crossing the final third, needs sorting.

guehi is the only player that cant be complained about, foden can be so much better, bellingham needs to get stuck in more in fact, lads need to be in their best positions...trent should be off mind and i like him as a player.

Big fan of Trent and nowt against him but he can’t play cm if we’re serious about going far. He’s meant to be the 8 when we’ve got rice there who was one of the best 8s in the league last year with a solid Wharton on the bench to sit deep. Square pegs in round holes.

Edit. Foden needs to play centrally or off the right. Looks dangerous every time he gets it.

Big fan of CG, he brings tempo n intensity that England have been lacking so far

Class by Foden again there, hes the one attacking player looking lively
