Tbf to the club if it is a work permit holding everything up I don’t blame them for not saying anything.
The implication is that there is some complication/delay with the application. I think Maric and Cifuentes would be pretty straight forward since they have worked here recently or are currently working here.
It'd give the club a bit of a grace period though. It would tell us that we have someone in place but the wait it out of their hands. If it's rejected it's not the clubs fault and we would know this. A delay and we know the reason why. What if it gets rejected and there's ANOTHER delay whilst we agree on somebody else. If we're kept in the dark still it's just going to exacerbate rumours and cause more angst that nothing is happening
True but I’ve literally never heard of that happening for a manager at this level. You’d have to be really obscure.
I was only joking to be honest. I don't particularly want him, and would be pretty frustrated, but he'd still get my backing...as there's no point turning on him until he actually is **** for us.
My guess is they are frustrated at the time it takes not the actual process of it. Thorup at Norwich took around a week I think between when stories leaked about him needing one and when he was officially announced.
A lot of clubs announce managers pending work permits to be fair. I'm sure I've seen a couple of British clubs do it this summer.
Cifuentes would still need a work permit I think because you need to reapply every time you change jobs? I may be wrong there but that is my understanding.

Hope Fishpaste is right. That said if I was using someone on Twitter to disseminate info I'd hope to find someone less of a flange... Copley, What The Falk or even Roker Report better alternatives
